Full description

Hidden away from the modern world, this majestic European castle on the outskirts of Paris is a perfectly preserved example of the reckless extravagance of the French monarchy. Experience life at its most luxurious, in a setting of lush rolling lawns that stretch as far as the eye can see. Meet your guide at a central location in Paris and board a private, air-conditioned tour bus to Versailles. Skip the lines at the entrance with your pre-booked admission to Versailles, where your guide will lead you through the gardens and palace. Marvel at the sheer size of the Palace of Versailles, one of the largest and most spectacular castles in the world, boasting 700 rooms. See the incredible array of fine art and the intricate designs of the 1,250 fireplaces.

Work your way through the palace’s highlights, including the king’s and queen’s apartments, the chapel, the Coronation Room, the Hall of Mirrors, and the Salon of Abundance. Head out into the sunlight and visit the manicured gardens, covering an area of 1,800 acres.

The Musical Gardens show runs every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (except Wednesday, July 14) from July 1 to August 31, while the Musical Fountains can be experienced every Saturday and Sunday from May 22 to October 31.

The tour was great. Our guide was very good, very personable and knowledgeable. The gardens were very beautiful and so expansive. The only bad thing was the weather ( we went in January) but no one can control that. The meeting place for the bus was easy to find. The bus ride was fine.

The tour bus was timely and efficient. I wish there was a bit more information given on the bus about the history etc while we were on the way. Our tour guide Alexander was super informative and made the tour engaging. Couldn’t recommend him enough. Obviously the palace was beautiful and worth the money to see

Kenny did a reasonable job. Tour itself was not well organized by tour company. Paris had a 'no car in city day' therefore, we were dropped off at Metro station out of town - why weren't we notified in advance and not on the bus to Versailles? Karol, our bus guide did a excellent job coaching all the passengers on how to get home. When we got off the subway it appears that the police we not enforcing the no drive rule - cars & taxis everywhere. It would have been easier to see Kenny, our guide, if he had a flag to keep track of him.
