Explore the 2,000-acre grounds of the Palace of Versailles on a full-day bike tour from Paris with a skip-the-line ticket, and discover the unrivaled opulence of the Sun King’s royal residence. Following your transfer from Paris, start the day at the farmers market in the town of Versailles. Select the produce you want for a picnic lunch later in the day, choosing from the mounds of cheeses, fresh fruits, charcuterie, and more. Then, it’s time to cycle the landscaped grounds of the Palace, cruising effortlessly from one picturesque spot to another on lightweight aluminium bikes. Your guide will take you to the outhouse chateaux of the Petit and Grand Trianon, and show you Marie-Antoinette’s private village and farm. Pedal through sumptuous landscapes, ending with a look inside the Chateau of Versailles itself. Here, you will be given plenty of time to focus on what interests you most, using the audio guides to explore at your leisure. Don’t expect a comfy bike seat or a comfy, smooth ride as you explore. The tour guide was great - - I’m here for you Eric! He made the trip fun and entertaining, he answered so many questions and gave many opportunities for questions from the group and individually. He also had a wine opener and cups - A+ on that anticipated need of the group. My only qualm besides the bike seat itself was that the tour ended at the palace and not back at the train station.

If you want to see Versailles, this is the way to do it. This tour was absolutely the best and our guide, Cecilia was spectacular. She made the day fun and educational (we had our 10 year old son with us) through her storytelling of Versailles history. The bike ride through the grounds was not strenuous at all and it's a nice easy pace. The markets in the town of Versailles and shopping for our picnic lunch was also a highlight of meeting different vendors and buying all the incredibly fresh food and wine to enjoy later. You do not want to miss out, so make sure you go with Blue Fox Travel!

It was the highlight of our holiday trip!!! Cecilia was our guide, super attentive to everyone taking thw tour: curious kids as well as grown ups. I signed up with my friend and had lots of fun riding the bikes, putting together our picninc basket and just learning and walking with the group. I would 1000% do this again!
