Full description
Travel in the comfort of a fully air-conditioned bus from Paris city center to Versailles, home of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette until the French Revolution in 1789. Your host will be on board the bus and ready to answer any questions you may have.  Be transported back to the Golden Age of France with a trip to the Palace of Versailles, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and emblem of French royalty and extravagance. Marvel at the breathtaking royal chateau, transformed by the ‘Sun King’ Louis XIV in the 1660s from a hunting lodge.  Your audio guide, available in 11 languages, will enable you to discover the State apartments of the King and Queen, the Royal Chapel and Hall of Mirrors, the epitome of French opulence; three hundred and fifty-seven mirrors line the gold-adorned hall and crystal chandeliers hang from the ceiling. After explore the famous gardens of Versailles with access to the Grand and Petit Trianon, and the Estate of Marie Antoinette. Depending on the day and option booked, you will also be able to see either the Musical Garden or Fountain Show. After your visit, you will be taken back to Paris by air-conditioned bus.

Service from Paris Trips was amazing. Nice van with AC (though not enough) . Arnaud is a great and friendly host, he gave us a lot of fun and interesting information in and out of Versailles. It takes long walking once in the palace so it's nice to be transported in a confortable van and not trying to figure it out how to get there by yourself. The 4-hour tour is too short for Versailles , this is not a fault from the organizer, this is just a comment to anyone interested in visiting VersailleS. We took this option as we didn't have much time, so 4 hours just gave us a snapshot of what is Versailles. We'"ll take a longer tour next time. If you can, pick the longer tour. If you go in hot summer days bring water and snacks as it will take a while and long lines to eat something. It's a magical place and worth the time and money.

This was well organized! Kept receiving emails fro GYG until booking notifying of location changes but they were all the same place. No worries though. The organizer was there on time and sorted us out. The guide made sure we knew procedures, pointed us in the direction of our ticket purchase and returned us on time. The driver was courteous and friendly as well.

The guide who drove us to Versailles was extremely friendly and informative about the city of Paris and brief history of Versailles on the way to the Palace. Versailles itself could not have been more amazing. It exceeded our group’s expectations! Would definitely recommend booking this to see the palace and gardens. However, if you wish to see Marie Antoinette’s hamlet it is a far walk from the garden/park and the allotted time (we left at 8:15 got there around 9 am and had to leave around 11:40 for the bus back) was not enough so we stayed and took a taxi back. The bus was very nice smaller Mercedes’ vans! Book this!!!
