Lisbon: Private Sunset Cruise on the Tagus River with Drink

1. Lisbon: Private Sunset Cruise on the Tagus River with Drink

Enjoy a fantastic private sunset cruise along the Tagus (Tejo) River and discover Lisbon from a different perspective. Admire the spectacular sights and colors of Lisbon from its lovely waterfront. Depart from the marina of Belém, next to the Padrão dos Descobrimentos (Monument to the Discoveries) celebrating the 15th and 16th-century Portuguese "Age of Exploration." Sail beneath the imposing 25 de Abril Bridge, leaving Alcantara behind and arriving in the city's historic quarter. See the white dome of the Basilica da Estrela and the beautiful square of Praça do Comércio. Get a privileged view of the Castle of São Jorge, perched atop one of Lisbon's legendary 7 hills. From the starboard side, take a look at the famous basin of the Mar da Palha. See the majestic Vasco da Gama Bridge from a distance, as you make your way back to the marina, and get one last spectacular sight as you look at the outstretched arms of the Cristo-Rei Statue in Almada.

Private Day Trip Visiting Lisbon from West to East

2. Private Day Trip Visiting Lisbon from West to East

This guided visit will give you the full flavor of Lisbon throughout its history. You will be picked up at your hotel and head to Belém, where you will start our tour. Belém is a landmark of the Discoveries period and you will see several grand monuments of that era (Torre de Belem, Mosteiro dos Jerónimos, Capela de São Jerónimo) and others from more recent times but that celebrate that outstanding period (Padrao dos Descobrimentos). Other attractions can also be seen or visited here, namely the Planetarium, the Coach Museum, and the Navy Museum. This is also the place for a stop at the most famous 19th century house Casa dos Pastéis de Belem (Portuguese custard tarts), with walls beautifully decorated with traditional Portuguese tiles. Head to downtown passing first by Parque Edward 7th, where you will enjoy incredible views over downtown Lisbon, the Tagus River, and the southern landscapes beyond. From there cross the Marquês de Pombal roundabout, the city's geographic center, and head to Rossio and Praça do Comércio, exploring the Pombaline architecture, which was used to rebuild this part of the city after the 1755 earthquake and tsunami. Praça do Rossio, the main dowtwon square, is the city's social center since ancient times, and layers of all periods of history, including Roman, are scattered everywhere, making this a unique part of the city. Driving by the river and along the old Moorish district of Alfama, head to Parque das Nações, one of the best examples of modern urbanism in Portugal and where the last World Exhibition of the 20th century (EXPO 98) took place. Here, many attractions that remain from the Exhibition (e.g, oceanarium) can be explored through a stroll around the place. This will be last place of visit, and from here you will be dropped off at your hotel.

My friends and I had booked a private sunset cruise on the Tagus river. We were slightly late but that was not a problem, we were met and taken to our boat by Luis. On the boat were Michael and Bruno. We enjoyed the cruise immensely and we created a party atmosphere as it was a birthday celebration. All 3 crew members were very accomodating and joined in the fun which was why we really enjoyed this trip. The actual cruise was an enjoyable ride with a little history lesson too and it was spectacular to see the sunset, weather was amazing too. Cannot recommend the lovely staff and this cruise trip enough. This activity made our trip.

We really enjoyed our sunset cruise. The two guides were extremely friendly and took great care of us - no matter if it was about infos about the tour or the boat, providing us with useful tools and letting us choose our own music on the boat or taking group pictures of us ;) I can honestly highly recommend it!

It was a fabulous experience. Bought it as a birthday gift and it was amazing. Our host were fantastic, told us a lot of stories about the city. They were very positive and made our experience very special. Thank you.

One of the Best experience in my life. Very warm crew amazing sunset and wines. What else you need?
