Bariloche: Horse Riding with Breakfast and Lunch Included

1. Bariloche: Horse Riding with Breakfast and Lunch Included

As part of a private or small group tour, enjoy the transfer from Bariloche Downtown and head to the estancia (cattle ranch), located 30 km from San Carlos de Bariloche, approximately 45 minutes away. Enjoy a traditional breakfast before setting off for your two hours of horse riding though the Patagonian Steppe. The horse riding takes place in an incredible desert setting, giving you the opportunity to ride on irregular, undulating grounds. Experience the ups and downs or the terrain, crossing paths and streams with the most beautiful views. You’ll pass by typical fauna and wildlife and, if you're lucky, catch a glimpse of deer and condors, one of the largest birds capable of flying in Argentina.   Following the completion of your riding experience, you’ll have time to relax and taste the richest Argentinian asado (grilled meat) before returning to San Carlos de Bariloche.

Ushuaia: Full-Day Off-Roading and Horseback Riding Lake Tour

2. Ushuaia: Full-Day Off-Roading and Horseback Riding Lake Tour

Head off on a full-day excursion in the wilderness of southern Argentina with a 4WD tour, followed by horseback riding, and a walk around marvelous lakes with the majestic Andes Mountains surrounding you. Start your day bright and early with a pickup at your hotel, and head straight to the lake region by driving on the national route N°3, where you will cross peat valleys and the Andes Mountains through the Garibaldi Pass. Continue along the road through old trails used for logging, marveling at the deep valleys around you as your expert local guide tells you the history of the route and the mountains. Once you cross the iconic Andes Mountains, catch a glimpse of the glorious Lago Escondido, before descending to its borders, where you'll begin your off-roading adventure. Once there, stop for a rest to meet your horses, and enjoy a delicious snack. Then, hop on your horse, specially chosen according to each person's riding experience, and enjoy a leisurely ride for about 30 minutes. Next, tuck into a local lunch on the side of one of the largest lakes in Argentina, the Lago Fagnano, including an Argentine platter of cheeses and charcuterie as a starter, followed by the main dish, and tea or coffee. After lunch, take a walk to enjoy the immensity of the Lake Fagnano up close, before returning to Ushuaia.

What people are saying about Patagonia, Argentina

Magnificent tour of the hinterland of Ushuaia in the company of Jorge on the immense family lands by the lakes, where they raise horses. Break and lunch in the comfortable cabins of their family. Adorable people who share the characteristics and history of the region, impressive 4x4 trips, well-trained and quiet horses, good local meals and superb landscapes.

The guides were so nice and knowledgeable. Loved the ride in the truck. I only wish the horseback riding lasted longer.

Really good way to see the Argentine Steppe. Excellent lunch too.
