Founded by the Nabateans, Petra is considered one of the wonders of the world. Located 139 miles (225 kilometers) from Amman, Petra was carved in stone more than 2,000 years ago. It dominated the trade routes of ancient Arabia. Upon arrival, walk the narrow path of the Siq to discover the main entrance to the city. Wadi Rum ("Valley of the Moon") is where the legendary film "Lawrence of Arabia" was filmed. Marvel at the unique shape of the mountain as it rises from the rose-red sand of the desert. See towering cliffs of brownish, reddish, and golden colors.  Then transfer to the Dead Sea, famous for the biblical story of Sodom and Gomorrah. Located 400 meters below sea level, the Dead Sea is one of Jordan's most spectacular sites. Marvel at the calm waters glinting in the scorching sun. Explore the iconic archaeological site of Petra on a full-day guided trip from Tel Aviv. Pass through the scenic mountains and see the 7 New Wonders of the World, the desert landscape of Wadi Ram, and more with an optional horseback ride. Arrive at Ben Guiron Airport in Tel Aviv for your flight to Roman Airport in Eilat, where your driver will pick you up. From there, ride to the Arava border and go through border control and customs at 8:45 AM. On the Jordanian side of the border, transfer to an air-conditioned car/van/bus and head towards Petra. Enjoy your journey on a vast and comfortable highway. After traveling along a beautiful scenic route on the mountainside, arrive at Petra’s historical site, and see why it has been named one of the 7 New Wonders of the World. Begin your guided tour of the site at the entrance. Included in your package is an optional horseback ride for the first 200 meters of the route. Begin with a pickup from your accommodation in Amman and head off on the 225-kilometer journey to the ancient city of Petra. Upon arrival, take a stroll through Al-Siq, a narrow and deep pathway that acts as the main entrance into Petra. Inside, admire the Al-Khazneh, where elegant remains of antiquity can be found carved deep into the rocks. See the monastery, Altar of Sacrifice, Street of Facades, Royal Tombs, and more. Day 1: Start your tour from Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, or Eilat, depending on the option selected. Cross the border into Jordan and travel to the port city of Aqaba. Enjoy some time to relax in the city, before continuing to Wadi Rum. Arrive at the Bedouin campsite accommodation in Wadi Rum and take in your new surroundings and the scenic views. Once settled into the campsite, head out on a jeep safari tour in the afternoon as the sun begins to set and the air becomes cooler. Enjoy an overnight stay in the camp where you will indulge in an authentic Jordanian meal for dinner. Day 2: As the sun rises in the morning, enjoy breakfast and the view before traveling to Petra. Upon arrival, take a guided tour of this iconic site and get a deeper insight into the history of the ancient Nabatean city. See the most important structures of the site including the famous treasury, the Khazneh. Stay overnight at a hotel in Petra. Day 3:  Depart from Wadi Rum in the morning and explore Petra at your own pace. Revisit sites from the previous day, or uncover new ones. The tour begins in Jerusalem, as you head toward the Jordanian border. Cross at the Allenby Bridge border, and enter Jordan, driving through the desert for about an hour to then have a local lunch. Continue towards the exquisite desert landscape of Wadi Rum, virtually untouched by humanity. Travel through the vast scenic desert valley on a 4×4 Jeep tour, providing the best possible experience of this moon-like landscape, the red sand dunes, towering cliffs of weathered stone, and desert animals with the sunset’s beautiful colors. From there, go to a Bedouin camp near Petra where you will enjoy Bedouin hospitality, including an Arab-style dinner and a comfortable bed for the night. Petra is an inherritance, that was left to us by the Nabataens over 2000 years ago. The Nabataens were very industrious, creating one of the greatest water systems of their time. Petra was occupied by over 20,000 residents, and was very prosperous. They built water cisterns and collected the water from the flash floods, then went on to sell the water to caravans and merchants, passing through . The Nabataens created great facades in the sandstone in the typical Roman archetectual manner, the most famous of them is "The Treasury". There is a Roman theater, in which you can see the tombs still standing there between the seatings. The amphitheater once held over 4000 seats. There are many temples, statues, facades (numbering about 800) in Petra for you to view. A driver will pick you up from your hotel at 08:15 - 8:30 in Eilat, and take you to the Jordan border. You will be assisted with border proceedings and continue on to Petra. Tour Petra with a qualified licensed guide. Enter through the Siq (the pathway, a crack in the sandstone), to arrive at "The Treasury". Included in your package is an optional horse-back ride. Ride for the first 200 meters of the route ("Tipping" the carrier is required, ranging from 2-5 dollars at your discretion). Continue the tour to see the Roman theater, the facades, the tombs, the cisterns, the crypts, and the temples. After the tour - lunch in a local restaurant. Travel back to the Jordan border, begin our return trip towards the border. This route includes a few stops along the way at certain observation points in order for you to enjoy the beautiful landscapes, that Wadi Ram has to offer. Arrival back at your hotel in Eilat : between 19:00-19:30.

Start your tour with pickup at the David Citadel Hotel in Jerusalem. Then, drive through the desert in a comfortable vehicle until you reach the Arava Border. Cross the border with assistants, a procedure which may take up to an hour.  At 8:30 AM, transfer from the border to Petra in a new air-conditioned vehicle. This ride takes approximately 2-3 hours.  Enjoy the scenic route along the mountainside before arriving at Petra's historical site, known as one of the New7Wonders of the World.   At approximately 11:30 AM, begin your tour of Petra at the entrance to the site with a maximum group size of 25 people. Explore the highlights of this impressive site with your guide. Next, start your journey towards Aqaba at 4:30 PM. Make a few stops at certain observations points along the way to appreciate the beautiful landscapes that Wadi Rum has to offer.  At 7:30 PM, return to the Israeli territory with the assistance of your guide and arrive back at the pickup location in Jerusalem by midnight.

This fully-packed two-day tour begins in Jerusalem. Driving through the Judean desert, head towards the border and go through the Allenby Bridge/King Hussein crossing into Jordan. A licensed tour guide will lead you through the Siq (a narrow gorge), the Treasury, and the Amphitheater while you marvel at the beauty of each structure. Following, you will have time to explore independently: climb to the Royal Tombs, walk down the Roman Cardo or hike up to the Monastery. Meet the rest of the group again for lunch in Wadi Musa, before returning back to Jerusalem via the King Hussein/Allenby border crossing.

Absolutely incredible!! From start to finish we got more than we expected and felt very safe throughout. Jordan is stunning!!

The experience was very nice. All very well organised. The tent where we were to sleep was luxurious and each had a private bathroom. In Petra we walked freely and did what the guide had told us. Petra is exceptional and worth seeing at least once in your life.
