You'll start this adventure from Pinhao, pass under the Eiffel iron bridge going upstream to the Tua area where you will turn around to make the return journey. Along the way, see hills of terraced vineyards with no national roads or traffic in sight. The traditional Rabelo boats have open and closed areas, so navigation can be comfortably be made in all kinds of weather, all year long.

The audio guide is wonderful although it uses a lot of phone battery. It would be nice to have it also on the return. The views are spectacular and it was good to learn about the different wineries. Be sure to bring your own water as beverages are not provided.

Along the way you’ll see hills of terraced vineyards until the river, with no national roads or traffic in sight. Although you do the same stretch up and down, it could very well be a different one, because seeing it in one direction and then on the other creates two completely different points of view and sights. The traditional rabelo boats have open and closed areas, so navigation can be comfortably made in all kinds of weather, all year long.

Peaceful river cruise, a great change from other more active experiences. I actually didn't think I would like it very much, but I did. Definitely recommended.

Everything was very well organized, from picking up at my accommodation to bringing it back. The port wine tasting in a beautiful ambience, lunch was delicious in a beautiful location. The previous boat trip showed us the wine-growing area in the form of a terrace. Finally we visited an organic winery.

Contrary to what was announced the captain of the boat did not speak French, which greatly hampered the explanations

Recommended experience, both for the landscape and the wines and the explanations of the guide (Hugo).

Beautiful day cruise, good food and great service. But it is a long day excursion.
