But Athens is not just the Acropolis, it is a thriving modern metropolis with much to explore. This experience was amazing! The communication was good across the board. We were directed via phone call to our driver from the port so there was no confusion at all. The driver (we called him 'G') was funny and warm, he was talking to us about the history of Athens and about himself and made us feel like family. He not only dropped us off but walked us to the tour starting point. The tour guide was amazing she knew so much of the Greek history and mythology it was a very in depth and insightful tour. She constantly stopped to talk about the history (we didn't feel rushed) and made sure we were all okay and having fun. We saw so many amazing sites and learned the background behind them. We finished our tour and called the driver who earlier gave us his number and he came straight away to pick us up. We made it back to the ship in good time. Overall we had an amazing experience and would definitely recommend to anyone!

Michael was an excellent guide. His English was really proficient making for an informative exchange in such an historically-rich city. The acropolis, which we were visiiting for the first time since 1968, was exhilirating, even with the huge crowds present. Michael knowledge of the area steered us through the crowds and gained us the best viewing angles for photos. In 1968 we walked freely through the Parthenon, not so now. Michael, with Manos the driver, took us to far more places and sights than we had previously seen and we are most grateful.
