Stop for an authentic Costa Rican lunch in a restaurant located near the town of "La Fortuna." Then, prepare to take a hike over the lava trails from the volcano’s big eruption of 1,968. Take in the views at the volcano’s main look-out point and get the best views of this beautiful conic-shaped mountain on clear days. Arrive at “Paradise Hot Springs and Gardens” and relax for a couple of hours in the multiple hot spring pools surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens, which also provide great views of the volcano on clear days. Finish this great adventurous day with a delicious dinner on the route back to your hotel.

From Jaco Beach, we will head to the Las Terrazas takeoff just 10 minutes from downtown Jaco. On this aerial paragliding tour, you will fly over the highest peak of Jaco Bay. Being a secondary rainforest, with trees over 300 years old, you will be able to enjoy this breathtaking scenery at 1,500 feet (and try to go higher). You will be able to see Hermosa beach, Herradura beach and of course Jaco beach. On this aerial tour, we only use mother earth to go up in the air and feel the silence as we climb in the thermals flying along with many other species of wildlife. The mid-pacific coast of Costa Rica, the tropical forests below the views, and the calm you will feel in the air will make this tour an unforgettable experience for a lifetime. This is the best flying site in Jaco (and one of the best in all of Costa Rica, if not the best) as the flying conditions allow us to climb higher and faster than the other sites. It is also the closest to the beach.

The starting time depends on your hotel and your flight departure time. Usually, you have to be at the airport at least 2 hours before. The time and duration of your trip depend on the location of your hotel. Our vehicles are a late model and have air conditioning. We introduce Jaco as the “de facto capital of Costa Rican surfing”. The Jaco surf is certainly some of the most reliable and versatile in the country. We get endless swells throughout the season and offers myriad peaks for all levels. However, there’s a tendency to get messy when its big and you can be left wanting for the peeling sandbanks that Costa Rica is known for. Jaco surf also includes Playa Hermosa. Just to the south, that’s a advanced rider’s dream. It’s an officially designated World Surf Reserve and has beautifully hollow right wedges that fire up whenever there’s a SW swell on the way. Jaco is one of the first resorts that feels the full exposure to the Pacific Ocean on the Costa Rican coastline that extends southwards out of the swell shadow of the Nicoya Peninsula. it’s on the main 34 coast highway, sat west and south of San Jose. You can usually get in from the capital in about 1.5 hours.
