We brewed the first pilsner type lager in the world with its characteristic full taste and limpid golden colour in 1842. It has been a model beer for more than 80 % of existing beer brands so far! This Pilsner Urquell Brewery tour will impress every beer fan and history lover. Get to know the original locations where this famous Pilsner Urquell beer was conceived and whose story continues even today. From the Visitor Center, travel via brewery bus to one of the most modern bottling facilities, which processes 120,000 bottles per hour. Learn about the ingredients from which this pilsner is brewed. Discover the heart of the brewery: 3 brew houses from different centuries. The tour culminates with a tasting of unfiltered Pilsner Urquell beer in the historic cellars. After the tour, you can shop for souvenirs in the gift shop and enjoy great Czech food and beer straight from the source in the Na Spilce Pub.

  • Please note that there is only one ticket price, which is the same for children and adults regardless of age.
  •  Children are more than welcome to join the tour, however, beer tasting is only allowed for adults over 18 years old
  •  When visiting the cellars, it is recommended to wear warm clothing, as the temperature in the brewery is around 40° F

The tour was nice and recommended, unfortunately we came for the brewery's birthday, so the parking lot was closed. This wasn't necessarily understandable, so we continued driving in our motorhome. The reception was correspondingly rough and we were directed to the Hornbach parking lot. We were not told that the barriers were open there that day and that parking was possible without any problems.

The tour is absolutely worth seeing. Unfortunately, you couldn't understand the German-language guide very well. In a group of almost 50 people, some people were standing too far away from him. Nevertheless, he put a lot of effort into making everything worth knowing interesting.

Frantissek or Franz really had a lot of specialist knowledge and was extremely friendly. However, he spoke too quietly for this group size. Normally he said there were only 20, but we were over 45, he was surprised himself. We've done a few brewery tours, but this was the most intense. It was very long and thanks to Franz we really gained a great insight. At the end there was the unfiltered and unpasteurized beer, which tasted great.
