What people are saying about Pompei

I can't imagine going to Pompeii without a tour guide. It's much larger than we had imagined, so it was really helpful to go with someone that could give us an understanding of what we were seeing. Our guide was a charming older gentleman named Alfonso, and he really made it fun. After having traveled throughout Italy, this site is at the top of our list of must-sees. Our only regret is that we didn't allow ourselves more time to explore. You could easily spend an entire day there.

Having a guide at Pompei is a must!! We loved getting the opportunity to walk through the city with a guide to hear the background of what we were seeing. This allowed us later to walk through other areas after the tour and really understand what we were looking at.

Very easy pick up of tickets at station with clear instructions Excellent guide Mathilde very informative and friendly thank you

Visiting Pompei was a highlight of our trip! A must see!

Good to have guide to enter to understand what’s inside
