    Explore one of South Africa's oldest cities on a 2-hour guided walk. Start at Port Elizabeth’s Campanile Memorial, at the entrance to the railway station. Continue to Route 67 and follow a trail that combines both historical and modern-day elements of the culture of the Eastern Cape. It pays tribute to Madiba’s 67 years of service to South Africans. Visit the Donkin Reserve at Belmont Terrace and the old lighthouse. Admire old Victorian churches, newly renovated terraced cottages, and a lighthouse that once guided ships into Algoa Bay. Other attractions include Fort Frederick, City Hall, Market Square, and St. Georges Park, which is the oldest cricket ground in South Africa.

    We had a lovely guide, John, who was very informative and good personality. The only criticism I would make is that there wasn’t an accurate description of where to meet him. We just walked and met him as he was walking along towards us. One couple didn’t make the tour at all!

    Best tour guide - Freddy just made PE very special to us! We actually just booked the city tour through Afroventures - after a perfect tour we planned other excursion with them such as Addo, Kragga Gama and sunset Sardinia Bay. We have had a splendid experience with a very friendly guide who also went above the usual job as a “tour guide” - we got to see the townships and explore daily life in PE.

    I loved! From the beginning of the tour we did not stop talking and receiving interesting information about PE, the history and the present. I saw a new face of the city. It is a pity that everything is so abandoned, but it still retains the beauty of what it once was.
