    A really great early evening experience. The tour of the lodge was informative and most interesting. This was followed by an excellent 50 minutes of fado music with two musicians and two singers. Whilst we listened to the music we drank two port wines, a white and a tawney. I can recommend this wholeheartedly.

    Enjoy a traditional “6 Bridges Cruise” along the River Douro and follow in the footsteps of the old wine merchants that transported wine from the valley to the wine cellars. Board the boat at Ribeira Quay and sail for 50 minutes along the river. Admire the beautiful landscapes and buildings of Ribeira and Vila Nova de Gaia from the water. Known as "Rabelo Boats," in reference to the old boats that transported wine from the Douro Valley, the cruise is the perfect chance to learn more about the historic bridges that connect Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. Learn more about their construction and curiosities, and upon arrival at the last bridge, see the Foz do Douro where the river pours into the ocean.

    It was really fun, the people were nice and we did not have to wakt long. There are 2 boats and one leaves every half hour. I would suggest taking one at 6 like we did, after the boatride we went for a hike to go up on one of the bridges and saw a beautiful sunset. We also had golden hour etc so we were really happy that we took the boat at 6. The people spoke excellent english! There is also a cable car ride by the boats. Wich is a really fun experience aswell!!

    We thoroughly enjoyed this tour, our guide Claudia was informative, interesting and amusing. She was always pointing out places or points of interest on our journey right to the end, making sure that we were Covid safe at all times. The hosts at the two wineries were also very informative and passionate about their product. The lunch provided was tasty and well presented with a beautiful view of the vineyards. The boat trip was a charming restful and relaxing interlude. We had a lovely day and would thoroughly recommend this tour to give you a wider appreciation of Porto and Portugal.

    The bikes were a great way to get around a very hilly city. They were fun to ride and our guide was great. We made enough stops so it wasn’t too tiring and we saw a lot of the sights of Porto.

Adjoining the baroque Igreja dos Clérigos, the Torre dos Clérigos, can be seen from various points in the city and is one of its most emblematic symbols. Built for the Clérigos Brotherhood by Nicolau Nasoni, an Italian architect and painter responsible for a large body of work in the north of Portugal during the 18th century, construction of the church began in 1732 and was finished around 1750. The monumental divided stairway in front of the church was completed in the 1750s. The main façade is heavily decorated with baroque motifs. Climb the monumental Bell Tower of the church for panoramic views across the entire city, and an up-close view of its most symbolic attraction.     Very busy but we’ll organised. Climb up tower demanding but very manageable. Great views of th city. Staff on duty pleasant and friendly. Well worth the effort.

Wonderful experience. From being picked up in the middle of Porto, on-site briefing and the really amazingly fun tour, everything was perfect. The guides were nice and courteous and you could sometimes go to the limit with the buggies. Great value for money and an unforgettable experience!
