We thoroughly enjoyed this tour, our guide Claudia was informative, interesting and amusing. She was always pointing out places or points of interest on our journey right to the end, making sure that we were Covid safe at all times. The hosts at the two wineries were also very informative and passionate about their product. The lunch provided was tasty and well presented with a beautiful view of the vineyards. The boat trip was a charming restful and relaxing interlude. We had a lovely day and would thoroughly recommend this tour to give you a wider appreciation of Porto and Portugal.
The trip was well organised, although I booked 2 tickets and because the minivan was full we weren’t able to sit together. I know that for some people is not a big deal but if you spent almost 5 hours in a car we would prefer to sit together, especially it was my partner’s birthday. The tour guide was excellent, very funny and knowledgeable. Also went beyond my expectations when he asked us for a lunch preference and I don’t like meat or salmon, he made sure that the restaurant prepare something different for me and it was delicious!
This is a must-do tour. Ivo, our guide, was extremely knowledgable ... as well as being very entertaining. The two farms visited gave a good overview of the industry - one being a small farm, the other a very large scale operation. The lunch was top class too. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and can only highly recommend this activity.
Wonderful experience. From being picked up in the middle of Porto, on-site briefing and the really amazingly fun tour, everything was perfect. The guides were nice and courteous and you could sometimes go to the limit with the buggies. Great value for money and an unforgettable experience!
Great trip to the heart of the Douro valley wine producing region with visit to small Port producing estate. Excellent add-on to a short stay on Porto.
