Great way to see the city and main attractions. I liked that you could listen to the tour with the headphones & the information given was interesting. Instructions to actually get on a bus are not great if you book online and don’t get a map of the stops. The meeting point is not helpful and I had to call to get some directions to the actual stop. But you can get on from any of the stops with a circle sign saying “tour” although if you don’t know what you’re looking for it’s tricky.
I think you should tell all buyers to pick up their tickets at a kiosk or yellow shop. Your hotel will tell you where to find one. If you get your tickets on the bus which you can do the driver will not tell you the times of the port tour, its name etc. The kiosk person has more time to spend with you and has more info. Fiends of mine ended up at the port museum which is free but missed the guided tour and wine tasting which you have paid for with your ticket.
It gives you an over all view of what the town has to offer before setting off. Well worth the purchase of a 48 hr ticket including a shirt river cruise and tour of one of the Port Cellars.
HoHo is running a reduced service during COVID19 but missed to communicate some sort of time table. That did not help us to efficiently plan as we spent a lot of time waiting.
HOHO was a good option for our stay as it was rainy & windy during our entire stay. We didn't stop by any attractions so riding in the bus was the only way to get around
