From Prague, head with your English-speaking guide to Český Krumlov, a perfectly preserved Renaissance town that has been recognized by UNESCO for its heritage value. This lively cosmopolitan town has a unique atmosphere and is surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and countryside. Dominated by the castle stretching over the Vltava River, Český Krumlov’s narrow cobbled streets are lined with ancient patrician houses. The streets are full of artists, music festivals, coffee shops, and ancient taverns.
After a 3-course tasting lunch in a charming and renowned local restaurant, you’ll visit the monumental castle, with its Baroque theater, astonishing view from the main tower, and castle moat.
Later in the afternoon, travel to the nearby picturesque neo-Gothic Hluboká Castle, considered to be one of the most impressive in the Czech Republic.
