What people are saying about Province of Catania

Quite a long journey, but with our excellent guide Alessio informing us of all things 'Sicily' en route, it was not a problem. The Temples (not in a valley by the way) were amazing and we were allowed to make our own way round. The only downside was the ridiculous security checks at the entrance, which made the start a bit chaotic. Then a bit of lunch and on to the Roman Villa, which was spectacular. The preservation of this site means you are let into the world of Roman life that I have never seen before either here or at other similar sites abroad. Again, not to detract from this experience, but as an overall view, Sicily really ought to up it's game as far as tourism is concerned. So much to offer but often poorly presented. I highly recommend this tour.

This experience was incredible! My friends and I (20 year old females) loved it all and thought this hike was the perfect level of exertion, we definitely felt challenged at times but it was so doable. Ernesto was an amazing guide, and we loved our stop in Catania for Sicilian sandwiches as well. Running down mt Etna is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced!! If you’re an active person, you should be fine but this hike is definitely not an ‘easy walk’. A must do in Catania!

Would highly recommend this trip. It’s really off the beaten track, the guides give great insights and facts about the volcano and all round winner. The trek itself is challenging in places but it’s not really long so very doable. If you have weak ankles, wear supports! Thank you guys!!!

It was well organised, the guide told us all of needed information - she spoke English, German and Italian! Local people guided us on the Etna, the tour was quite individual but it was too short, it would be better for have more time on the mountain

The activity of Etna did not allow the excursion as originally planned. The guide warned us quickly and the proposed circuit was even better. Thanks to Édouard for the quality of the hike.
