What people are saying about Province of Lucca

Fantastic trip out on the E-bikes. Our first time. Marta was our guide and she was superb. Full of great information about the locality. She guided us round the Lucca walls with numerous stops to provide tit bits of information. Then off into the country to a small vineyard run by Carlo. Family run business producing great organic wines. Thank you to Julia who explained the whole process to us in expert English. After tasting the wines and eating their lovely food, we purchased some wine and continues the bike tour with Marta. Time was no restoration and Marta continued to provide us with so much information. She was encyclopaedic. Wonderful outing.

Silvia was an absolutely fabulous hostess! She made us some of her favorite recipes on our American Thanksgiving holiday and it was so lovely to enjoy that holiday in someone’s home/in a family environment. We are so excited to make the dishes that she made for us for our family now that we’re back in the United States. It was also wonderful to get to know someone who has lived in Luca, her entire life and she recommended a nearby truffle festival for the following weekend. We’re really hoping to stay in touch with her because it was just a fantastic experience.

Superb tour from Sacha. This was the highlight of our trip to Lucca. Over 3 hours of laughter, fun and great food. Exactly what we wanted. Or your took in 4 stops. Each with its own unique take in god served in Lucca. We certainly did not need to eat again that day. Our guide Sacha was simply a ray of sunshine. Professional, enthusiastic and funny throughout. Her information was superb and carried off with great poise.

My husband and I were very happy with the tour we chose. Our guide Nadia was of exceptional skill and sympathy. With his ancient and present anecdotes he was able to transport us into the Lucca atmosphere of the time. Highly recommended, vote 10 and praise!

Had no idea Lucca had so much history going on. Had to keep moving as it was pretty cold. Kind of awkward as the guide had to keep switching to English (for me, and much appreciated!). Very knowledgeable.
