1. From Gibraltar & Costa del Sol: Malaga Christmas Lights Tour
Get into the festive spirit on a day trip to the Malaga Christmas lights from Gibraltar and the Costa del Sol. See the nativity scene at Malaga Cathedral, admire the lights in Calle Larios, and witness the Picasso sculpture in Plaza de la Merced. After getting picked up from your convenient meeting point on the Costa del Sol or Gibraltar coast, hop on the bus and take in views of the coast until you reach Malaga. Upon arrival in the city, you will have up to five hours of free time to experience the festivities at your own pace. You could go to the markets in Malaga Park, see the Alcazaba lit up by Christmas lights, or admire the Picasso sculpture in Plaza de la Merced. Next, head to Malaga Cathedral to see the traditional nativity scene. Time your visit to coincide with the Nativity illuminations that are projected onto the walls of the cathedral at 7:00 PM, 8:30 PM, and 10:30 PM. Afterward, head to the city's narrowest street to sample turrones before making your way to the main event, the Christmas lights on Calle Larios. Watch the famous light show held on the street every year. This year, it will take place at 7:00 PM, 8:30 PM, and 10:00 PM. At the end of Calle Larios, see the Christmas tree located in the middle of Plaza de la Marina with the lights of Pier 1 and the Farola in the background, where on some special days in December you can see a drone show at 8:00 PM. After a festive evening in the heart of Malaga, meet your tour leader back at the meeting point and head back to your meeting point location on the Costa del Sol.
