  3. Puebla and Cholula Day Tour from Mexico City with Lunch

  Your full-day trip begins with a drive to Huejotzingo, where you’ll visit the Convent of San Miguel and learn about the various cultural origins of the Mexicans, including Spanish, Arabic, and Native American. Afterwards, you’ll explore the Cholula archaeological zone, home to the largest pyramid in the world. The tour continues to colonial Puebla, a cosmopolitan city that has preserved its traditions in its food, art, and culture. As you walk along the city’s beautiful streets, you’ll be drawn in by the splendid architecture of the city’s cathedral, the homes, museums, and other buildings decorated with tiles. Visit Puebla’s majestic cathedral, its main square, the Chapel of the Rosary, the Convent of Santa Monica. Stop at onyx and talavera ceramics factories.

  The tour to Cholula and Puebla was great! However I wish we would have had more time for shopping in Cholula - we decided to climb the pyramid, and did not have any extra time. The tours were nice, but I feel like we wasted a lot of time waiting for the other guests and tourists to come back at the requested time.

  4. Chautla's Castle, Lavender Farm, and Valquirico Private Tour

  Start with pickup from your accommodation in Puebla and travel 1 hour in an air-conditioned van to Chautla's Ex-Hacienda. Here, take a 1-hour walking tour by the springs and end up at a beautiful castle located in the middle of the lake. Climb to the roof and take in panoramic views of the lake and property.   10. Cholula Magical Town 6-Hour Tour by Double-Decker Bus

  Depart from Puebla City’s main plaza (“Zocalo”) and travel by traditional double-decker bus 5 miles to the west to the “double” town of Cholula, which brings together San Pedro and San Andres. Each of these towns has its own main square and church, but they are so close to each other that the border has been lost and they are both thought of as the same town. The panoramic tour starts in San Pedro Cholula at the Plaza de la Concordia, which is flanked by the Convento de San Gabriel, built by Franciscans in 1549 on the site of the ruins of a temple dedicated to Quetzalcóat. Continue towards the Great Pyramid of Cholula, the largest in the world. On the top, admire the Nuestra Señora de los Remedios Temple, built by the Spanish in 1549.   Great experience. The bus took us to some lovely churches and had a lovely guided tour through the tunnels of Cholula. Learned a lot about the history of the Pyramid and about local tradition and culture through our private English guide who was a local from the area. Great value for money.
