After pickup from your accommodation in Puebla, head out towards Iztaccíhuatl-Popocatépetl National Park. After 2 hours, you’ll arrive at La Joyita, where you’ll register with officials and gain a better understanding of the route via a scale model of the volcanoes. From there, you’ll continue driving to La Joya, 13,133 feet above sea level, and the main parking area for volcanic exploration. Begin your hike, climbing to the first scenic viewpoint at 13,914 feet above sea level. Gaze out across the breathtaking vista before climbing even higher, to 14,340 feet, where you’ll pause again, finally ending your hike at an unbelievable 14,842 feet above sea level. Break for lunch, taking in the otherworldly views. Afterwards, you’ll descend back to the parking lots, before heading back to your accommodation.

Your tour begins as your guide picks you up from the lobby of your accommodation. From there, travel for 1.5 hours to arrive to the La Malinche National Park.    Once there, your guide shows you how to use the trekking sticks and assists you with your helmet. The hike then begins, with your guide maintaining your motivation and setting a good rhythm for you to follow. Once you reach a sandy area, take a break for lunch before continuing onward to the summit. Once at the summit, spend approximately 30 minutes to relax and take amazing photos. The descent then begins, which takes approximately half the time as your journey upwards. Once you have arrived at the starting point, your tour concludes with your driver transferring you back to your meeting point.

After pickup from your hotel lobby, head straight to the La Malinche National Park for your adventure up the dormant volcano. After a quick stop for coffee and tea, you’ll begin your 4-hour journey through 2,000 feet of altitude up to a prime viewpoint. Gaze down the rocky slopes upon the surrounding cities and vast plains of the national park. Upon arrival at a scenic viewpoint at a height of 12,467 feet, you’ll break for lunch and for photo ops. Afterwards, you’ll begin the roughly 2.5-hour descent down the picturesque slopes of the volcano. After a full day of stunning mountain exploration, you’ll be transferred back to your accommodation in Puebla.

The private pick up will be in the lobby of your hotel or address in Puebla or Cholula city. The transfer will be to Cuetzalan and take 3 hours approximately. The first stop will be a Chichicazapan's grotto with an underground pool. Here you can explore the cave and enjoy the experience of the subterranean water using the safe equipment. The second water will be the "El Salto" waterfall where you will enjoy its natural pool. The third stop will be "La Escondida" waterfall and also here you will immerse yourself in fresh water. The fourth stop will be "Las Brisas" waterfall with another accessible and enjoyable river pool. 7. From Puebla: Hiking Iztaccihuatl & Izta-Popo-Zoquiapan Park

Hike on Iztaccihuatl, an inactive volcano and the third-highest mountain in Mexico. Indulge in a wine and cheese tasting on the mountain and admire the beautiful surroundings and views of Popcatépel Volcano. Begin the tour with pickup from your accommodation in Puebla, and transfer to communities nearby the national park, to buy locally produced food to enjoy on the hiking tour in the park. Travel to Izta-Popo-Zoquiapan National Park, an approximately two hours drive. Arrive at the park and start registration, and learn more about the park's flora and fauna from the host and the volcanoes' legends. Admire the incredible view of the volcanoes, and take photos of the active volcano Popcatépetl, and begin the acclimatization process for the rest of the trip. Advance a few more kilometers by car to the starting poit for the walk. Be outfitted with your safety equipment for the trek, and start the walk at roughly 3,900 meters above sea level, and reach a maximum of 4,500 meters above sea level. Enjoy drinks and snacks at this point, where the stop is perfect for special events like anniversaries, proposals, and vow renewals. Marvel at the views of the surroundings and indulge in a hot drink. Begin the descent from here, and once you are down the mountain, enjoy a wine and cheese pairing and toast to your special event. Finish the tour with drop-off at your Puebla accommodation.

I had a slightly different circuit because of the coronavirus but despite this I loved discovering this beautiful place, incredible views, the guide was great and taught me a lot of things, it was a wonderful day I recommend without hesitation!
