Full description
Along with your guide, see 7 of the most popular sites in the beautiful and dynamic city of Puebla. Meet your guide at the middle of the city’s main square. First, you'll go to the Palafoxiana Library, which houses a great Bishop’s donation of 5,000 books to the city. This wood-paneled library, built in the 18th century, is a truly beautiful place to explore. Then, head to the Puebla Cathedral, an ornate Roman Catholic church in the city’s center. Next, see Zocalo, the city’s main square, and a miniature model of the city. At the Rosary Chapel, admire the splendor of this golden 17th century chapel, often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World”. Built in the Spanish Baroque style, this gilded chapel shines with the light coming in through its gorgeous windows. You won’t want to forget your camera.   Next up, visit the “sweet street”, where you can taste typical candies and liqueurs of the region before heading to the Artist Quarter. Wander through quaint cobblestone roads and admire the market stalls highlighting the talent of the city. Continue on to the traditional market “El Parián”, which is full of traditional handicrafts and one of the most popular attractions of the city. Finally, visit the “alley of the frogs” (Plazuela de los Sapos), a popular antique shopping street that will make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time.
