Start with pickup from your hotel in Puerto Iguazu. Travel through the beautiful natural landscape of the region, passing small towns before reaching the imposing ruins of San Ignacio Miní located 240 kilometers from the city of Puerto Iguazu.  Enjoy a guided tour which explores the history of this area. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Jesuit mission was built by the Spanish Conquistadors in the 17th century. The ruins were discovered in 1897 and restored between 1940 and 1948. Learn about the construction, life, and customs of the Guarani aborigines and the Jesuit occupiers of the region.  Visit the mines of precious stones in the city of Wanda. The excursion is the transfer mainly. Our driver was Rubén, super friendly and attentive. In the ruins of Wanda the entrance does not include the guide, so it is convenient to have cash for the tip. And in San Ignacio, they took us to an a la carte restaurant, in front of the museum, also very friendly and with good prices. In this case, the guide is included, and it is a short tour but full of information. Very good!!! it is worth the whole trip to know the ruins and their history

San Ignacio is very beautiful, but since the route is restricted, the possibility of traveling at your own pace is quite lost. You can see that the guide knew a lot, although his way of relating the explanations was not very dynamic and at times monotonous. We would have liked the tour to last a little longer. Minas de Wanda, a disproportionate price in relation to what you see. We spent more time in the souvenir shop (later we learned that it has a bad reputation, google opinions before buying stones there!) Than in the mines themselves. The guide was very cool and made the tour super interesting! He raised the level of experience. At the end of the tour we went through a yerba mate cooperative and they showed us the production process. A plus that we did not expect and we really liked! In general, and largely thanks to the driver guide, who was very cool, the tour was pretty good! But we would not repeat Wanda.

The guide Miguel was very charismatic throughout the trip and made fewer hours of travel.
