I've wanted to go for years (Irish ancestors) but with 5 kids, the ferry is really expensive ($50 for each of us!) So when the older 4 went to visit their grandparents, we took advantage and finally visited Grosse Ile. Although I find the ferry cost prohibitive for families, the service was very good. On the island, we were one of the only English speaking groups so we pretty much had a private tour. The guides were extremely knowledgeable and friendly (especially Philippe on the trolley). It's a beautiful place and we really enjoyed learning about its history.
Very well organized. Great views of Old Quebec and surrounding areas from the water. Lots of options for comfortable seating both inside and out on the decks. It was a great way to spend a very hot afternoon - the breeze was lovely on the water.
A beautiful and memorable experience! The views were breathtaking. The bilingual guides, wearing period costumes, were extremely informative and interesting. Learned so much of Quebec's history. Would do it again!
Beautiful cruise with great views. The guide very well spoken and fully bilingual. The boat was very clean and well staffed.
Good bilingual guide. Lots of info. For your info watch out what you order on windy days.
