What people are saying about Quebrada de Humahuaca

Our guide Leo, and the 2 drivers were the best. Leo, in particular was like a long-lost brother- caring, kind, helpful and oh so informative. The van, though old, was reliable - no breakdowns. It was a long day trip 14 hours. But such fun, all because of Leo whose laughs, jokes and stream of information, kept the trip light and cheerful. We stopped at Pumaramarca and the ceramic factory before reaching Hornacal. A jeep drove us to the panorama. The mountains are a breathtaking natural wonder characterized by their vibrant and diverse hues. They display a mesmerizing palette of reds, oranges, yellows, and greens, creating a stunning and surreal landscape. The colors are caused by mineral deposits and sedimentary layers, which have been shaped over millions of years by geological processes. We were captivated by the striking beauty of these mountains.

We enjoyed this day trip. It's true that it is a lot of driving, as per the other reviews, but if you want to see the 7 coloured and 14 coloured mountain in a day then there really is no other choice. The other stops were short and mainly photo spots or toilet stops. We chose to see Hornocal The 14 coloured mountain instead of having time for lunch in Humahuaca but it was definitely worthwhile. It was pouring with rain but the mountain was still magnificent to see. It's a long day but the landscapes on the way are definitely worth all the driving. The tour guide was good too, very friendly and funny.

We really enjoyed the day trip! You had enough time at all stops and didn't feel rushed. The places we visited were also very beautiful! The only thing where there is room for improvement is the minivan. Since you sit in the van a lot, it would be nice if it wasn't so tight! Otherwise everything was perfect! :)

It was a long day but packed with a wonderful itinerary which was made more enjoyable by our enthusiastic guide Leonardo.

Aside from the involuntary bus stop (problem with air conditioning), great. Very beautiful views. Highly recommended
