Full description
Trek through mountains bursting with natural colors to get a view of Mt. Vinicunca, set high in the Peruvian Andes. This multihued natural wonder is also called Rainbow Mountain. With breakfast, lunch, and safety kit included on your tour, experience adrenaline-pumping thrills with your guide. Join your guide at your hotel to ride smoothly across the mountain countryside. Pass by gorgeous landscapes and old towns full of history. Capture stunning views as you make some stops on the way. Take a short break for breakfast, and continue to the head of the trail. Even though the hike is done at a high altitude, you’ll be rewarded once in Vinicunca with its glorious colors. Standing at 5200 meters, this mountain has been considered sacred by local people since ancient times, predating the Inca rule. People still present offerings at the site. Take time to enjoy the view of the mountain, the snow-capped Ausangate beyond, and the Red Valley. Click photos of the peak’s multi-colored rocks. With a little luck, you can spot alpacas. Then, make your way downhill. Head to Cusipata by private transport for lunch. Finish the tour with a transfer back to your accommodation in Cusco.
