My hotel was in Agios Nikolaos and since I didn't want to rent a rental car, I was very happy that this tour gave me the opportunity to see a little bit of the other end of the island. Of course it was a long drive: from 7:40 a.m. to 8:35 p.m., but it was definitely worth it and we were traveling in a modern van. I am also grateful that I was the only participant from Agios Nikolaos who was picked up, despite the long journey of around 1 hour from Heraklion. You could have safely avoided Lake Kournas at this time of year, as it gets dark earlier and many taverns, leisure activities and all shops were closed. But you definitely have to see both cities. Very very nice. I also thought it was very good that you could stay there independently. Our tour guide and driver Helena provided us with information and tips about Crete and the places we visited along the way.
Apostolis was a great tour guide. I love lakes, so this was a perfect tour for me. we went to all the lakes and reservoirs in Crete, and I got some history about the places, after which I was allowed to just sit and relax for a while. it was nice and relaxing.
The trip was great! Our guide Manos was very accommodating and on time. The only suggestion for improvement would be to add passenger accessible charging options for mobile phones to the vehicle. Very happy overall and would recommend the service to friends.
Our guide, Manos, was excellent: informative, a good driver, accomodating, and relaxed. We were very pleased with our day and got to see more countryside, which was especially nice for us.
