We LOVED our guide Sigfus "Omar". He was funny and passionate. The tour was very interesting and enjoyable. I loved that it wasn't a huge bus load of people. Our group of 11 bonded, ate together and shared many laughs with Omar. He made some extra stops for us and showed us some secret jewels that made the tour all the more memorable.

While perhaps not as dramatic as the Southern portion of Iceland or the Golden Circle, there is a lot of variety in this tour and it is a smaller group (~20 or people) which means it's not nearly as rushed as some of the larger tours. Our driver/guide was thoroughly engaging the whole time and played a good deal of local music while making sure everyone got to spend time at the sights they wanted.

Snaefellsnes lets you feel the wilderness of Iceland. However, this involves a lot of driving during the 11-hour tour. We explored the Snaefellsnes peninsula with a small group, so we had much flexibility when and where to stop. Our driver provided many interesting facts about Iceland and the Snaefellsnes peninsula (geography, weather, wildlife, people, development etc). He was very knowledgable. It was rainy most of the day, but we made the best out of it.
