Full description

Set sail from Reykjavik’s old harbor in style on the Andrea, the largest whale-watching ship in Iceland. Spot minke whales, white-beaked dolphins, harbor porpoises, humpback whales, and occasionally orcas with the help of an experienced guide.

Enjoy a whale-watching experience with a special educational focus, and ask your guide any questions you have. Learn about the whales and other sea life from your guide's knowledge, an app available in 5 languages, and the microscope, baleens, and whale teeth on board.

Move around the Andrea's spacious public viewing areas, and admire the fantastic 360-degree views of the environment from the deck. Stay warm with included overalls and heated indoor seating. In the summer, you can also join an express tour on a faster express whale watching boat.

If you get cold or hungry, there’s also an onboard café serving a range of refreshments, as well as a souvenir shop. And should you fail to see any of the spectacular creatures from the deep, you'll receive a complimentary ticket to sail again.

Super nice crew, motivated guide and absolutely relaxed atmosphere, many bottlenose dolphins and some minke whales could be seen, great information was given and at the end a lot of information was also offered. There is also a small "museum" on the boat, warm overalls and clean toilets. I was very excited.

The trip is great. The good weather was there, which helped to appreciate the sea trip and the view of Reykjavik. The journey is long enough to arrive at the site where the whales were. Luckily we were able to see their water jet and their back and tail going into the water. Not long because the time to leave had already arrived. Emotion to see this show but you also have to take advantage of it for everything else, especially the shearwaters, otherwise you may be disappointed.

We Saw Half a dozen minky whales, ans a humpback whale also a few times. Some people Saw a white Dolphin far ahead. The guide was great. Too bad we lost some time before we could leave to the Ocean. Still a great experience overall. Maybe a little too crowded but still okay.
