From Rhodes City: Boat Day Trip to Lindos

1. From Rhodes City: Boat Day Trip to Lindos

On this tour, you will visit the stunningly beautiful village of Lindos by boat. On the way back, the boat will make stops at Anthony Quinn's Bay for photos and both Tsambika's and Lindos's emerald bays so you can relax and go for a swim. The boat departs at 8:50 AM from Mandraki port and returns at approximately 5:30 PM. Lindos is a magnificent acropolis on an imposing rock. On the top of the rock stands a centuries-old acropolis, proudly overlooking the archipelagos. The acropolis bears silent witness to Lindos’ glorious past, a major naval power of ancient times which reputedly had a population of 17,000. The view of Lindos village, with its cubic houses sprawling down the hillside under the acropolis, is one of the most photographed scenes in Greece. The whitewashed labyrinth of little alleyways was deliberately designed to confuse pirates, today this layout makes wandering around the town a real adventure. According to tradition the temple of Athena was founded by Danaus, who came to the island with his 50 daughters to escape the rage of the goddess Hera. Follow the same ancient path that the ancient Rhodians took. When you reach the acropolis you will see a 280 BC relief of a ancient Greek warship carved into the rock, an indication of the naval power of ancient Rhodes.

What people are saying about Rhodes

This was such an amazing trip!!! I’d booked as a birthday present for my boyfriend, and at first we were a little nervous as we had booked for October but the weather was perfect. All three locations to swim in were beautiful too. We were given a snack about an hour into the journey which was greatly appreciated and our drinks were constantly kept full. The lunch was delicious and filled us up after a day of swimming and snorkelling. On our way back to the harbour the crew played us lots of music so we could dance and everyone on the boat was super friendly. If you’re deciding to book this trip then this is your sign to do it !!! We made so many friends on the boat and still keep in touch despite coming home off holiday, the crew were AMAZING and we had the best time. 100% would do this again thank you so much!

I can absolutely recommend this trip, there is enough space on the catamaran for the number of participants, there are soft drinks, beer and wine as much as you want. The swimming stops are great and the food is also great. All together a successful excursion.

This was truly a memorable day out. The boat creates a great atmosphere and the crew are helpful and add greatly to the experience. The locations are beautiful for swimming and snorkeling and the food and drink provided was superb.

The crew, the homemade food, the drinks were great. Extra requests were asked, the crew does not have any artificial customer behavior. There were 10 of us and I think the group is the ideal size for up to 16 people.

Great day wonderful sites fresh food simple but delicious drinks all in the good mood of the crew ... without hesitation to recommend
