From Rhodes City: Boat Day Trip to Lindos

1. From Rhodes City: Boat Day Trip to Lindos

On this tour, you will visit the stunningly beautiful village of Lindos by boat. On the way back, the boat will make stops at Anthony Quinn's Bay for photos and both Tsambika's and Lindos's emerald bays so you can relax and go for a swim. The boat departs at 8:50 AM from Mandraki port and returns at approximately 5:30 PM. Lindos is a magnificent acropolis on an imposing rock. On the top of the rock stands a centuries-old acropolis, proudly overlooking the archipelagos. The acropolis bears silent witness to Lindos’ glorious past, a major naval power of ancient times which reputedly had a population of 17,000. The view of Lindos village, with its cubic houses sprawling down the hillside under the acropolis, is one of the most photographed scenes in Greece. The whitewashed labyrinth of little alleyways was deliberately designed to confuse pirates, today this layout makes wandering around the town a real adventure. According to tradition the temple of Athena was founded by Danaus, who came to the island with his 50 daughters to escape the rage of the goddess Hera. Follow the same ancient path that the ancient Rhodians took. When you reach the acropolis you will see a 280 BC relief of a ancient Greek warship carved into the rock, an indication of the naval power of ancient Rhodes.

Super great trip with Manos! Great tour guide with a good knowledge of German. Manos also shows corners where the tourist bus cannot get there. A lot of knowledge since he has been running the office in Rhodes for 22 years. Definitely recommend the tour. Super well-maintained, clean vehicle with all the ailments. Covid requirements all met. Therefore 5 stars! Thank you MANOS!

We did the tour with our children (21 and 12 years old) and it was great fun. It was perfectly organized and everything went very well. We would never have seen so much of the city if we had walked through it. Highly recommended!

It was excellent. The bus stop was directly across the cruise ship exit, the driver had our names in his smart phone and remembered us when we boarded again. Fabulous. Thank you.

It was really fun, although it was only a small group of three. Plenty of spots for pictures and historical facts. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Everything was great, it was a very great trip with many sights and a very nice driver who explained everything.
