The tour guide was lovely, she knew a lot about the buildings in Riga and the history. She was happy to answer any of our questions. She pointed out activities we could do when the tour was over or on another day. From her suggestions we were able to fill an afternoon and another morning in Riga. It was well worth having a private or small group tour. We saw a group of about 40 people all struggling to hear what the tour guide said. However, do not feel you have to book anything before you leave home, there are so many tours around the city (bus, bike) and many guides available.

I had walked around Old Town prior to Linda showing up so I was expecting going over the same things I had seen. Linda, who was superb, is an art major and was especially interested in Art Nouveu architecture, which Riga has lots of. We walked around looking at the buildings, while she also provided the history of others sites we were visiting. Excellent experience!!

It was good to experience the outskirts of Riga and have a bit of history of the country. Our driver picked us up on the dot from our hotel and offered to give us a short ride around the city (since we arrived the night before and were not able to have a city tour yet prior to this out of the city tour) and we instantly agreed.
