Guide was very nice. Hotel pickup was very easy. Most of the trip is riding in the Jeep through many curvy roads and turns. Not much hiking. Only about 300 meters long. Then walking around about 4 major tourist stops. Our Jeep actually got stuck and had to get towed up a hill due to the New Years traffic. We didn’t have to wait long. I was actually impressed it only took 20-30 minutes. This should not be confused with hiking. It’s a riding trip through a public park. Cost wise, still cheaper than taking a taxi or Uber that would not be available in the park.
Had an awesome hiking and rapelling (we actually did it twice :)) ) experiece with my guide Diogo. He is super energetic and full of positive energy. He is very knowledgeable about the Tijuca National Park and its ecosystem as well. At the end of the activity, the shower at the natural waterfall "cachoeira das almas" is just the icing on the cake. Thanks a lot to my guide Diogo for making my day. If you book this activity ask for him as your guide. You wont be dissapointed. Highly reccomended :)
We really enjoyed the tour! Eduardo is a great guide, he’s friendly and helpful and gave us some interesting informations about Rio De Janeiro. The hike itself was beautiful even though we could not see a lot up there because it was cloudy. The walk through the favelas of Vidigal was an impressive experience and Eduardo took us to a nice bar with e amazing view. We definitely would recommend the tour :)
Good trip but make sure to do it with good weather as we were very unlucky we had fog and rain we couldn’t see most of the things. Henry the guide was very good and we learned about the rainforest and life in Brazil.
Tour guide George was fantastic. He was very funny, explained history, jungle vegetation and wildlife very well (in three different languages) and new answers to all the questions the tour attendees had. Great tour.
