The view on top is really amazing and worth the very challenging and arduous hike . Five stars to the guides Nick,Wesley and Eduardo for their professional guidance, patience and assistance in helping us especially me to get through the ordeal. They have first aid kit that they used to bandage the bleeding cuts in my head after an accidental fall. Very grateful for their quick response. I’m fine , just be careful and cautious because some of the stones are very slippery.

Hike was more difficult than we expected, but views from the top were excellent. Our guide, Sergio, was terrific. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Pedra de Gavea hike was about 2.3 miles each way with 2400 foot elevation gain. Very steep and slick. Be prepared for a lot of climbing rocks. I am very thankful that we paid for a guide.

I could think of one of the best days in the company of the guide Sergio. He was able to share his passion with us through these 8 hours of hiking and that in 3 different languages. I thank him again for this. Incredible day spent with him. Ps: do not be dizzy and afraid to climb. The view and breathtaking once you get to the top.
