Full description
Hop aboard a comfortable, air-conditioned minibus and start your journey down to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Pompeii. Upon arrival at Pompeii, breeze past the long lines with your Skip-the-Line ticket and enter into this time capsule of the ancient Roman world, where your local expert guide will give you a guided tour of these marvelously preserved ruins. Go to Positano, where the houses tumble down the hillside, and stroll among the boutique stores. Purchase some of the local limoncello liqueur, visit the Church of Santa Maria Assunta or people watch from a restaurant terrace. After some free time and lunch (own expense) in Pompeii, the tour will continue further south along the picturesque seaside roads of the Amalfi Coast where your breath will be taken away by the spectacular coastlines as the mountains cascade into the sea and romantic villages climb up the mountains like grapevines.

Me and my partner enjoyed our day so much. Enrica and our driver Marius were amazing. Enrica went out her way the whole journey to ensure everyone was comfortable, she offered tips on what to do for the rest of our time in rome and gave us a tour of not only rome but basically the whole journey offering her insights into the history of each location. She really helped break up the journey, the driver even charged my phone for me on the way back! Cannot recommend enough.

I would recommend this tour if you are in Rome and wanting to get away for the day. We spent about 1.5 hour in Pompeii and our guide there was excellentt (John Luca) Our guide on the bus, Endrica and driver Mauritz (I’m not sure I’m spelling the names right) we’re awesome! I’ve been on other tours in the past and the guide allowed people to be late which affected our time, but Endrica ensure to keep things on schedule and maximized our time. We spent about 1.5 hours in Positano. It is a short time but given the distance from Rome, it was very reasonable and it was nice to visit. Endrica and Mauritz always made sure we were comfortable and looked after. I would definitely recommend this tour!

Although it's a long journey (13 hours), it is worthwile as Pompei is a must see. The local guide was very good and showed & explained the most interesting things at Pompei. The only minor point is that we stopped at a restaurant near ten highway (on both the outward and return journey), which appeared to be very expensive (we had 3 croissants and 2 cappuccinos for 16 euros!). Note, the guide in the bus was very pleased with this restaurant (as with other debatable choices, such as the mediocre pizza he recommened to our group, we had to eat in the bus…..)
