Regardless of the fact that I love civilization and the history of Rome in a visceral way, as soon as you reach the entrance of the monument you are struck by the grandeur and majesty of the building. Being in the places where people who made history have passed creates a suggestion and a state of mind that are difficult to define. And how can we forget the emotion that the vision of the tombstones of Marcello, Agrippina, etc. gave us? In short, I don't feel like denying that in some time, health permitting, I might as well return.

From an architectural point of view, the Mausoleum has very original features. The structure is still quite legible, but devoid of original objects or decorations due to the looting suffered over time. The historical and archaeological reconstruction provided by the guide, however, allows you to better appreciate the importance of this site. To improve its use, the offer of texts and iconographic documentation could be extended along the tour itinerary.
