We will start discover the lively atmosphere of the beautiful Spanish Steps, walking down the elegant fashion district lined by the most amazing shops we’ll reach the Trevi Fountain, the world’s most spectacular show-fountain in the world - don’t forget to throw a coin into the basin if you want to go come back one day! -. Stroll down to Piazza Colonna and the Italian Parliament Building – learn the methods secrets and anecdoties on how Roma created the first “republic” in history “res publica” (people’s power) and evolved to today’s democracy; then round the corner for the visit the amazing Pantheon, the most impressive and best preserved ancient Roman building, which set the rules of modern architecture. Wander around charming little streets lined by bustling and be surprise by the amazing “San Luigi de’ Francesi” church where – if we are lucky (holy mess permetting) we’ll have an amazing surprise: three (3!) amazing Caravaggio masterpieces.. to leave you breathless. After this shock, we are ready to move to Piazza Navona, the quintessential Roman piazza decorated by marvelous fountains among which Bernini’s famous “Fountain of the Four Rivers. We will reach “il Campidoglio” (one of the seven hills of Rome) home to the city hall, designed by Michelangelo before seeing the imposing Altare della Patria, which sets the beginning of one of our tour’s highlights: the walk down the Roman Forum mile, the founding site of Rome where you will discover the different layers of the city and the style that each Emperor gave to it, as you admire the majestic Colosseum standing right in front of you, as we get closer for the world most famous Arena. To enjoy a complete Roman experience, choose the "walking tour and Colosseum" option: you'll discover the legends of the Gladiators as you visit the tribunes and imagine being an excited spectator or an Emperor while watching wild beasts or slave-turned heroes fighting, deciding whether or not your winning bet had to “finalize” the defeat rival or let him die, just upon your thumb command… up or down for life or death. Then enjoy a beautiful walk into the Roman Forum, the arch of Titus, the temple of Saturn, Vespasian and Antoninus Pius are just some of the highlights… an immense display of evocative ruins which used to be the social, political and commercial hub of the Roman Empire and as you wander through this impressive district of temples, basilicas and vibrant public spaces, immerse yourselves in the 2000 years ago daily life and customs life of the biggest, powerful emperor of all times, learning the history of its fast rise and faster fall.
