Rotterdam Private 2-Hour Food Tour with Tastings

1. Rotterdam Private 2-Hour Food Tour with Tastings

This 2-hour tour begins outside Rotterdam’s new central station, where you’ll meet your guide under the Meeting Cloud. The guide will tell you about the history of Rotterdam as you walk past the Groothandelsgebouw, located next to the station. Completed in 1953, it is one of the first major buildings constructed after the bombing of the city in WWII. Walk from there to the famous kruiskade neighborhood, a large multicultural area with shops from all over the world. This is also home to Rotterdam's Chinatown. See many hidden architectural gems and monuments that only locals know about. Your tour continues to Rotterdam's town hall, one of the few buildings that survived the bombing during the war. This is also the area where you’ll stop for your first food tasting. Walk to the market hall and cube houses area. The market hall was opened in 2014 and is one of the most stunning sights in Rotterdam. At the Markthal you’ll enjoy some Dutch food tastings, choosing from the kroket, stroopwafel, Dutch cheese, herring and kibbeling. The tour ends at the new market hall, but before it’s over feel free to ask your guide as many questions as you like!

The guide was good and gave us an amusing and very informed tour of Rotterdam. We were just surprised that we only ended up in the market hall at the end and could enjoy the culinary part there hungry. We thought we would be fully guided through the whole tour of Rotterdam's culinary highlights. Nevertheless, we can highly recommend the guide. He also showed us a lot of architecture and art from Rotterdam. Greetings from the DRM team

informative and comprehensive, they responded flexibly to our wishes!

Unfortunately, the marking of the meeting point was not so easy to recognize for us. We could not imagine what was meant by the "Meeting Cloud" and also found no information at the main train station. When asked at the information desk, we were sent one floor down. An arrangement would be desirable here!

The Best way to know rotterdam

It was fast but amazing trip. Our guide Tony went with us at the Best places to know at town and with a lot of food included. Rotterdam is very modern and it's getting better . The New market is one place done in 2014 just 3 years ago. An excelent trio.
