Embark on a sightseeing adventure to the historic neighborhoods of Sacromonte and Albaicin. Meet your friendly guide in Granada then head to Albaicin, a UNESCO World Heritage Listed district that was formerly the capital of one of the most important kingdoms in Europe. The first stop of the day is El Mirador de San Cristobal, an impressive complex built in the 11th century with sprawling views across the ancient citadel of Albaicin. Continue the tour to the old fortress of Alcazaba Cadima, then cross over the Plaza de San Bartolome to reach the Mirador de San Nicolas. Perhaps the most famous viewpoint in Granada, the Mirador de San Nicolas boasts sprawling vistas of Alhambra and the snowy peaks of Sierra Nevada in the background. Arrive at Sacromonte, passing by the impressive Gran Mezquita Mayor on the way. Travel along the picturesque Cuesta del Chapiz until you reach the idyllic Paseo de los Tristes on the shore of the Darro River, which has been a place of leisure since the 16th century. Enjoy some time to soak up the view while learning about the Christian and Muslim influences on the two neighborhoods you have visited today. Next, pass through the Plaza Nueva to the final stop of the day, an imposing cathedral.

Enjoy the afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Sevilla. Day 4 (Wednesday) Sevilla – Granada After breakfast in the hotel you’ll depart for Granada. Enjoy a sightseeing tour with visits to the impressive Alhambra with its beautiful Nazari palaces and the Generalife gardens. Dinner and overnight in Granada. Optional: Visit the caves of Sacromonte and attend a typical gipsy flamenco show. Day 5 (Thursday) Granada – Valencia After breakfast you’ll head out on a drive to Valencia via Guadix, Baza, and Puerto Lumbreras. Overnight on the Mediterranean coast in Valencia. Day 6 (Friday) Valencia – Barcelona You’ll have free time after breakfast before a mid-morning departure for Barcelona. Tour departures are available on Sundays throughout the year.

Day 3: Sevilla, Ronda, Marbella After breakfast at the hotel you’ll depart for the White Villages and Ronda, where you’ll have some free time. Take an optional excursion to Mijas or Gibraltar. Later the tour continues on to the Costa del Sol. Dinner and overnight in Marbella. Day 4: Marbella, Granada The tour leaves Marbella for Granada after breakfast. When you arrive in Granada you’ll enjoy a sightseeing tour that includes the impressive Alhambra with its beautiful Nazari Palaces and the Generalife Gardens. Optional activities include a visit to the caves of Sacromonte and attending a typical gipsy flamenco show. Day 5: Granada, Toledo, Madrid Enjoy breakfast before heading to the Imperial City of Toledo, filled with historic monuments. You’ll have lunch and embark on a city sightseeing through Toledo’s narrow streets and alleys. The neighborhood of Albayzin, declared a World Heritage Site in 1984, was the origin of the current city of Granada, still retaining all the magic of its Arabic past. Narrow streets and white houses built at random, the famous Cármenes of Granada. The Sacromonte, located in the Valley of Valparaiso, is a picturesque and idyllic place on the outskirts of the urban center of Granada. It is a traditional suburb of the Granadian gypsies from India, who arrived in Spain in the 15th century. Portrayed with great mastery by the poet Federico García Lorca in his book Romancero Gitano, the gypsies dance the traditional and unique Grenadine Zambras inside their caves. This tour is a perfect complement to the visit of the Alhambra, as it allows us to see how the Arab and Christian culture are intermingled in the city and how beautiful is Granada from the other side. This is a late afternoon and evening tour. Your starting time will always ensure that you reach Saint Nicholas viewpoint by sunset.
