    Learn about...

Ok, here goes! First let's just get to the bottom line for those that just scan through reviews. This was a great tour with an excellent tour guide. We met Daniel promptly at the set time and he was very cordial from the get go. My 25 yr old daughter and I did the 6-hr private tour. We were only going to be in Barcelona 4 days coming from our ski trip in the French Alps, so we wanted to get the most bang for the buck on our first full day in town. We stayed just of Las Ramblas on the edge of the Gothic section of town so our walk to met Daniel was not far. What impressed us most besides Daniel's personality was his knowledge of the history and his ability to convey that information as we waked along. He also had a tablet with power point slides that provided more historical context. Every step of the way was a walk through history. Even the tiles on the streets we walked had a story. Designed by Domènech i Montaner or Gaudi? I would recommend this highly! Ask for Daniel.

The tour covered most of what you need to know and see about Barcelona. It is a fascinating city with diverse culture and history. In and Out Barcelona sent a very knowledgeable tour guide who knew the ins and outs of Barcelona. Joan Pare was funny, well informed, respectable and intuitive. He was totally candid and at times inspiring on his views of Barcelona and Spain in general. I am much more cognizant of Spain's history because of my interactions with Joan. Sagrada Familia, that is a masterpiece by Antoni Gaudi. I just learned of his tragic death but also how much colorful his life was.

Then, drive down Passeig de Gracia to admire Gaudi's apartment buildings, including the Casa Batlló and La Pedrera. We saw Sagrada Familia from the outside on our first visit to Barcelona, so we wan to go inside of this monumental church as well as other famous Gaudi buildings and this tour did not disappoint. Our guide for the Sagrada Familia tour was well versed in its history and spoke clearly and kept our fairly large group together and on schedule (not an easy task). Our second guide for the tour of Park Guill and other Gaudi Buildings was also was very well versed in the subject and spoke excellent English, but because that part of the tour was given in both English and Spanish, it was a bit more confusing at times to understand. After touring Park Guill, the last part of the tour involves walking on the outside of two of Gaudi's downtown buildings. While that is interesting, if you don't take the extra tour of the inside of at least one of the buildings (we did), the time and energy spent to see the outside may not be worth the effort. Be advised, there is a LOT of walking on this tour!

  • Barcelona: Sagrada Familia Exterior Tour and VR Experience

    10. Barcelona: Sagrada Familia Exterior Tour and VR Experience

He will also dive deeper into the life of the artist, who is considered the father of Catalan modernism, and a personality full of enigmas.  After your tour of the basilica's exterior, you will then take part in a virtual, interactive experience to discover the interior of this architectural masterpiece. You will see the interior using virtual reality glasses, which offer 360-degree images.

The experience was excellent from the beginning to the end. The guide was super friendly and he knew a lot about the place. The VR experience was the best, we could feel we were inside the Sagrada Familia and we learned a lot! Thanks a lot!!
