Day 1: Arrival in Cusco – Qoricancha & Inca Museum Upon your arrival in the City of Cusco, the local partners staff will wait for you at the airport, ready to transfer you to your hotel accommodation for the remainder of the tour. After settling in, your guide will take you on a visit to the beautiful temple of Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun), one of the most important temples in the ancient city of Cusco. Following Qoricancha you will visit the Inca Museum and learn more about the ancient cultures of Peru, seeing first-hand the archaeological collection of Andean art whilst introducing yourself to the Inca civilization and their cosmo-vision. During your day you'll also get to visit Sacsayhuaman, Pukapukara and Tambomachay. In the evening you will lodge at the Tandapata Hotel Boutique, or equivalent.  Day 2: Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu Starting you second day of adventure, you will be picked up from your hotel and begin travelling to the train station in the town of Ollantaytambo for a journey by train to the town of Machu Picchu. Another short bus ride will take you up the mountain to the site entrance. Your guide will be with you at every moment to inform you about the site and answer any questions. The guided tour through the Sanctuary will last roughly 2-hours, then you will have time to wander as you wish and continue to explore this wonderful other-worldly place. Later, you will begin your return to Aguas Calientes for lunch and rest before a late afternoon train to Ollantaytambo. Following your journey by train, your land transport will transfer you to Cusco and back to your Hotel. Day 3: Free time and Airport Transfer On day 3 you will enjoy free time at your own leisure to explore the historic Center of downtown Cusco. Depending on your flight time, you can ask your guide for recommendations on what to do. Head to the old capital of the Incan Empire, Sacsayhuaman, for an archeological treat before traveling to Qenqo for a lesson in mummification. Finish the experience with a trip to a Peruvian ranch for a chance to try out horse riding with memorable landscapes.  After your hotel pickup in your hotel, head to the archaeological site of Sacsayhuaman on the outskirts of Cusco. See the heart of the famous Incan Empire. Discover all about the architecture, function and importance of the city, and why Sacsayhuaman is one of the best examples of Inca engineering. Next, drive to Qenqo, a huaca or designated Incan holy place. Learn about the mummification of ancient royal people that took place in a cave located on this archeological site. After this, head to a ranch near Sacsayhuaman where you will meet your horses and muleteers. Upon arriving at the ranch, a guide will make a brief induction to horse riding and how to lead them safely. Horses will be selected according to your experience and mood.  Start your 1-hour ride into the National Park of Sacsayhuaman, comprising 6000 acres of territory. Along the ride see amazing views, pass by some potato farms, some new excavations and with luck some local animals such as llamas and alpacas. After your ride, squeeze in some visits to Tambomachay, an ancient temple dedicated to water, and Pucapukara, an ancient Incan fortress. Finish up the day with a transfer back to Cusco city.

5. From Cusco: 6-Day Machu Picchu and Cusco Tour

Day 1: Arrival in Cusco and Inca Museum and Koricancha Start your tour with shuttle service from the airport or bus station to your hotel. The rest of the morning will be reserved for resting to adapt to the altitude, approximately 3400 meters (11,000 feet). In the afternoon, visit the Inca Museum, home of thousands of years of Andean culture. Continuing with the tour, head to the temple of Koricancha, the famous Sun Temple of Qosqo. Day 2: Saqsayhuaman, Tambomachay, and the Temple of the Moon – Transfer to Aguas Calientes   Begin your day with the journey to Saqsayhuaman. This Inca architecture, with its magnificent qualities and colossal stones, is considered one of the most exceptional constructions on the face of the Earth. From here, continue to the Temple of the Moon, a place for spiritual connection, and encounter the feminine energy of the Moon Goddess. In the afternoon, travel by car to the train station in the town of Ollantaytambo for transfer to the town of Machu Picchu (Aguas Calientes). You will have the option to visit and enjoy the hot springs. Day 3: Machu Picchu Wake up very early for breakfast and ascend to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu to appreciate the sunrise in this magical place, believed to have been a sanctuary and energetic center. Today, Machu Picchu is recognized by UNESCO as one of the seven wonders of the world and as a World Heritage site. Day 4: Aguas Calientes – Ollantaytambo – Moray-Salt Mines In the morning, return to the "living" Inca town of Ollantaytambo by train. Visit Ollantaytambo before continuing into Moray, an ancient construction designed for agricultural investigations and studies of different crops in a range of altitudes. Then, head to the salt mines of Maras, about 2 miles away. This village is known as a former salt-producing center that is thought to date back to pre-Inca times. There are over 3000 salt pools all carved into the mountainside, filled daily by a little stream of water. Day 5: Chinchero (Textile Interpretation Center) and City Walking Tour Chinchero, the rainbow village, is home of the ruins of the royal palace of the Túpac Inca Yupanqui, a picturesque community located on a high plateau overlooking the many snowcapped peaks of the Cusco region. After your visit to this area, return to Cusco, where you will have free time for lunch, and then start with your City Walking Tour around the most important places in Cusco.   Day 6: Free Day – Fly to Lima Enjoy a free morning to relax or do any activity and, according to your flight details, you will be transferred to the airport by the local partner for your departure to Lima.

6. From Cusco: Huchuy Qosqo 2-Day Horse Riding Trip

Day 1: Cusco - Huchuy Qosqo - Chinchero Drive for around 20 minutes from Cusco to Sacsayhuaman, where your horses await you. Once at Sacsayhuaman, get to know your horses before setting off on the 3 to 4-hour ride to the Queullacocha lagoon, where you will enjoy your pack lunch. Next, make your way to Chinchero, an Andean village that sits on top of a high plain with sweeping views of snow-capped peaks, at an altitude of 3800 meters. Enjoy time to rest, relax, and eat dinner. Turn in for an early night in your room. Day 2: Chinchero - Huchuy Qosco - Lamay - Cusco Get up early for an exciting day of adventure with 4-5 hours of horse riding and hiking. Wrapped up warm, equipped for riding and hiking, and with your helmet on, you’re ready to go. Lead your horse down a 3-hour trail to Pukamarca. From here you will leave the horses behind to hike a section of the famous Inca trail for 45-minutes that leads up to the Huchuy Qosqo ruins at 3600 meters. Make sure to take a breather and take in the spectacular Leon Punku, or Lion’s Mouth, canyon views on your way. Enjoy a snack at Huchuy Qosqo as you listen to your local guide tell you the rich Inca history of the region. After this part, start your descent towards the town of Lamay, famous for its Cuy al Palo, or roasted guinea pig. Have a short rest after lunch here, and your transportation will meet you for an approximately 1-hour drive back to Cusco. Get dropped back off at your accommodation in Cusco.

Amazing landscape, amazing horses and an amazing tour guide :) Holger is a fantastic person, was really a pleasure to meet and talk to him, the surroundings are so beautiful, takes your breath away.
