Benefit from pick-up at your hotel in Salzburg (or any other location in the city on request), and meet your private driver/guide for an excursion to Hallstatt. Journey along the shores of the emerald-green Fuschlsee to the Schloss Fuschl (Fuschl Castle), and then continue to St. Gilgen to take a stunning photo of the beautiful scenery from a great view point. Depart St. Gilgen and drive along the shores of Wolfgangsee lake en route to Bad Ischl, famous for its spa and the imperial summer palace. Next, make your way through picturesque Bad Goisern to reach one of the highlights of the tour at the stunning town of Hallstatt, considered the pearl of Austria's Lake District. Upon arrival in Hallstatt, your guide will point out all the hidden gems and must-see sights. You will have 2.5 hours to explore the town, allowing plenty of time for lunch in one of the lakeside restaurants (own expense). Leave Hallstatt and make your way back to Salzburg via the Gosausee lake, where a backdrop of the glistening Dachstein glacier awaits you for a short stop. Luciano is a fantastic guide - very knowledgeable about the sights on the way from Salzburg to Hallstatt and the history. The car was also large and comfortable. Price is of course more than a group or semi-private tour, but well worth the money in our opinion. We had a wonderful day and would happily book with him and this company again!

Our day with Luciano in Hallstatt was perfectly magical. While the weather certainly helped (snow for Australians is especially lovely) so did the company of our expert guide/driver, Luciano. Pickup was on time, and he kept us informed and entertained all the way to Hallstatt, allowing us opportunities to stop and take photos if we wished. At Hallstatt, he guided us to the best vantage points for pictures, pointed out things we otherwise wouldn’t have known or seen, and gave us time at our leisure to eat lunch and explore. Hallstatt is the most beautiful place, and well worth a visit, especially with Luciano to guide you.

The tour to Hallstatt was very enjoyable and scenic, many views took my breath away. It was fun travelling with Michael to Hallstatt and stopping by some of the lakes and towns, also to hear about the history of the area. Michael was intent to helping visitors have a positive experience in Salzburg so I appreciate his professionalism as a guide. Also the weather plays a big part in the experience and the weather yesterday was perfect.
