The markets of Thailand are some of the country’s most quintessential experiences; they give you a lively peek inside the more traditional culture of a country that often lives by water (or in this case, by the railroad tracks as well). On this full-day guided tour, you'll be taken to the most iconic markets on the outskirts of Bangkok, ending with a relaxing firefly boat tour to wind down from the day’s excitement. Maeklong Train Market is a fresh market situated right by a well-worn railroad. Watch the vendors expertly close and open their awnings to make room as the trains pass by. Located on the Amphawa canal, the Amphawa Floating Market is one of Thailand's more popular floating markets. Visit this riverside market and see vendors selling delicious treats like sweets and seafood, or browse some of the shophouses and restaurants. After sunset, when the lights have dimmed, you'll wind down with a relaxing river cruise. Your boat will take you a little further out where it is dark enough to see the fireflies, before heading back to your accommodations at 9:00 PM, ending a day of simple pleasures and tastes with the comforting sight of these lightning bugs.

Ancient City Muang Boran Ticket with Private Transfer Option

3. Ancient City Muang Boran Ticket with Private Transfer Option

Ancient Siam (also known as Ancient City, Mueang Boran) is a park constructed under the patronage of Lek Viriyaphant and spreading over 200 acres (0.81 km2) in the shape of Thailand. The founder's original idea was to create a golf course with miniatures of Thailand's historically significant structures spread around the course. During his research, he found most structures severely damaged and decided instead to create new miniatures, to save the original structures when possible, or to re-create them full size or scaled down. Ancient Siam is dubbed as the world's largest outdoor museum. Located in Samut Prakan province, the 320-hectare "city" features 116 structures of Thailand's famous monuments and architectural attractions. The grounds of Ancient Siam correspond roughly to the shape of the Kingdom, with the monuments lying at their correct places geographically. Some of the buildings are life-size replicas of existing or former sites, while others are scaled down. The replicas were constructed with the assistance of experts from the National Museum to ensure historical accuracy. Outstanding works include the former Grand Palace of Ayutthaya (destroyed in the Burmese invasion of 1767), Phimai Sanctuary in Nakhon Ratchasima, and Wat Khao Phra Viharn on the Cambodian border. You can select to explore this remarkable outdoor museum by tram, walk or bike for free. Alternatively, pay a little extra to get the golf cart, and drive around to save time and enjoy more.

A must do Tour if you get the opportunity! I was running a little late and the tour guide kindly waited for me. We began the tour at a beautiful temple which is at the centre of an old tree. The guide offered and brought the equipments which are used to make a prayer/wish. We then went to the train markets where we had plenty of time to look around, take pictures of the train passing by and have our lunch at a nearby cafe. Next we headed to Amphawa, I mainly booked this tour for the fireflies but Amphawa was a bustling Market with many exotic foods, clothes and souvenir shops. We had a delicious dinner near the floating markets. Lastly we set off on the boat to see the fireflies! Along the way we got to experience more of the floating buildings, Temples and breathtaking views. I did not expect to see as many fireflies as we did. There were so many places we saw them during the boat ride. One even flew up close to our boat. It was an unforgettable experience! Thankyou so much to the tea

I was searching for a wheelchair accessible tour where I could bring my 88-year-old godfather visiting Thailand. This tour and the guides were absolutely amazing. They are so kind, resourceful, and enthusiastic. They managed to bring him inside the boat in the floating market with great care (gently and boldly insisting, calming down my fears). When I booked the floating market, I even didnt notice the dragon temple was the 80m high/350meters long spiral dragon tunnel that people walk up in. I was certainly not expecting we would go upstairs...and said we would stay in the garden... Disregarding this frivolous idea of mine, they brought us inside and when I saw the guide, the driver, and me were carrying him 350m up!!! You see the kind of kindness I am talking about. We had such a great adventure. My goddad loved the roots temple too and got his new luck coin to follow him in his pocket that was wondering around there next to Buddha. I recommend!!!

King was my driver and he was very professional and friendly! The car was clean and very nice! Would definitely recommend!

This is like going with your bike through an open museum, truly breathtaking to see!

Driver was friendly and showed up on time. Can't really ask for much more than that.
