Excellent guide. Quick (1.5 hr) trip into Muir Woods. I took the hour option (bridge 2) but didn't know it was closed near the end, so I ended up going back the way I came. But it was a great stop with an optional drop-off in Sausalito and you take the ferry. Knowledgeable and fun guide, and rangers in the park are helpful too.

We had a great time exploring Muir Woods. The drive up was a but unnerving, as I get really bad motion sickness and did not realize the roads were extremely winding. I wish this tour had been guided but it was nice being able to take our time and go at our own pace. When we got there and presented our tickets we were told the park was free that day, so maybe could have saved a little money but no big deal. Our driver was great and friendly.

We booked the tour basically to have a ride to Muir Woods. The narrated part was a bonus but that was not our main reason for booking. Believe all the reviews you read that say the last 10 miles into the forest is winding and narrow. I did have a bout of motion sickness. Being on the bus allowed us parking. Private vehicles must make parking reservations in advance and may not be able to visit when they wish. Make sure you are back at the bus when told. We did meet up with a traveler from another tour group and his bus left without him. We did the 3.5 hour tour so when the bus left Muir Woods it stopped in Sausalito. We got off the bus, toured the town on our own and took the ferry back to S.F. at our own expense which was all stated in the information.
