Full description
Discover the secrets of winemaking on a guided day trip to the Napa and Sonoma Valleys from San Francisco. All tasting fees are included at 3 wineries, giving you the opportunity to sample local wines at each location. Board the air-conditioned bus. Admire the landscape of rolling hills and vineyards as you drive out of the city. Enjoy guided visits to three different wineries in the area. Learn the region's history, from Spanish missionaries who brought grapevines from Europe, to the Forty-Niners who served wines in their saloons. See how the grapes are picked, crushed, blended, and bottled. Walk through the beautiful vineyards and get the chance to taste the finished product, with wine tasting fees included at each location. During the tour, you’ll stop for lunch (at your own expense) in the historic Sonoma Plaza, or The Marketplace in the heart of Napa.  Lastly, after all these activities head on back to San Francisco, where you’ll be dropped off at the local partner’s office.

Easy pick up and drop off locations. Tour was exactly as described and stayed on schedule. Would have liked to have had the opportunity to taste all the wines I was interested in purchasing, rather than just the select few wines that were part of each winery tour. I appreciated that the tour was “family friendly” so my teenagers could come along.

Antonio, our driver & guide, was absolutely phenomenal!! He drove us from place to place safely while also sharing some interesting facts about the city, the wine process, and all while playing some good music. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and it was extremely evident that he enjoyed his job. Cannot recommend it enough!

The stop for lunch needs to improve tremendously. Most restaurants required reservations. We walked all over the place trying to find a place to eat. We had to order a takeout, with no place to sit and eat. We found benches to eat that didn't have any shade. Going forward a restaurant needs to be apart of the agenda with reservations so that we may be able to eat in comfort. Also a guide aboard the bus is needed, we passed a lot of places of interest that should have been told to the tourists in details.
