1. South Lisbon: 3-Hour Christ the King Electric Bike Tour

Explore southern Lisbon on this electric bike tour. Cross the Tagus River, and let your bike take the strain as you climb to the outstretched arms of Christ the King. Meet your group at Largo da Severa 7A for a safety briefing on how the bikes work. Then, bike to the large commercial square of Praça da Figueira, and learn about its mercantile past. Continue along Ruas dos Douradores, passing the site where the poet Fernando Pessoa got the inspiration for his book “Livro do Desassossego.” Admire the ironwork lift of the Santa Justa Elevator en route to Praça Comércio, Lisbon’s largest square. Next, discover the recent developments of Ribeira das Naus, the former shipyard area where many of the Portuguese ships that set sail to discover new worlds were built. Upon arrival at Cais do Sodré, take the orange cacilheiro (ferry) across the River Tagus. Once on the south bank, cycle through the Cais do Ginjal, a former warehouse that used to supply bait and ice to the cod fishing boats of the North Seas. Next, take the Boca do Vento lift to get closer to the statue of Christ the King, or cycle up the hill with no sweat on your electric bike! Enjoy magnificent views of Lisbon and the 25 of April Bridge. After a short coffee break in the botanic gardens of Casa da Cerca, climb to the top of the Sanctuary of Christ the King for the best view of the city. Bike back downhill towards the river, and explore the narrow streets of Almada. Visit the Medieval Museum to see relics of Islamic life in Portugal in the Middle Ages. Then, cross the river again to return to the meeting point and the end of the tour.

Very good compromise offer!

There were 2 couples with 2 different tours, but only one guide. We agreed on a compromise offer. Instead of 3 hours now 4 hours and 25 km in Lisbon up to "up", then up the forested hill, down to Belem with a visit to the Pasteleria de Belem, back on the water with Torre de Belem, monument to Heinrich the Navigator, bridge April 25th, back to the Praca de Commercio. Our guide Jorge (?) Or George (?) Spoke German very well, and knew his way around very well. With him there were five of us, so we got all the information very well.

This was an excellent way to see Almada. Seeing the Christ the King statue was really cool. We chose to pay the 6 Euros to go to the top and we felt it was worth it. We enjoyed riding around and learning about Almada equally as much. The eBikes were in excellent condition and it was very easy to get around, even uphill. Our guide was excellent too. I wish I could remember his name!!

What a recommendation. Did this trip with brothers and sisters. Seen a lot of Lisbon and what a nice guide we had. He really took his time with us and was enthusiastic about telling us. We have been on the road longer than the 3 hours we paid for, but this was no problem either. The hills were easy to do because of the e-bikes. All in all, especially do it!

great, individual e-bike tour!

We had Harald as our tour guide. He took us with the e-bikes to the other side of the river to the statue of Christ. It was an unforgettable tour through original villages. We ended up in a small cafe. Always my pleasure...

AWESOME. THANKS RICARDO !!

Superb discovery with an exceptional guide for his kindness, his explanations and his advice.
