Get an up-close look at landmarks that play key roles in the story as you set off from Reynolds Square in the Savannah Historic District and make your way towards the fountain in Forsyth Park. Stop at the city's oldest public plaza to admire the magnificent buildings on Johnson Square. Continue through Wright Square, graced with an impressive memorial to William Washington Gordon, and then be captivated by the beauty of Hamilton-Turner Inn. I did the tour in August after all the kids had gone back to school, so I ended up being the only person on the tour which was fabulous! Savanna is the most beautiful city in United States I do believe. The guide was very knowledgeable about the book and related it to his personal experience during the time it was written. As you may know, many of the characters in the book were real life people so for me it was just really enjoyable.

We loved the tour. It was a great overview of not only the book/movie but also the city overall. Martin had great stories and so much knowledge about the area. It was a great way to see the city, get the history of many landmarks in the book and hear personal insight as well.

Martin was very knowledgeable about both the book and the movie. The weather was beautiful and we even got to stop for a restroom/drink break (5 minutes) in the middle of the tour which was fantastic since the 2pm tour is after lunch. He showed us places that were filmed in the movie and told us in depth information about the characters of the book. If you love the book and/or movie, I totally recommend this tour with Martin!
