Full description

You will start your tour with a transfer to the village of Savoca, where you will meet with your donkeys. You will then be introduced to the basics, before you pick up your helmet and set off to a convent to visit a crypt. Once there you will learn about the history and landscape, before visiting bar Vitelli, where the famous Godfather movie was shot. Whilst here you will also taste a typical "lemon granita", made with the original recipe. You will then continue your tour on your donkeys as you head to Nino’s bakery to taste his delicious biscuits. After this, you will move on to a cathedral from the 12th century, and listen to your guide as they explain the secrets of the structure. You will then head to San Giovanni for an amazing view of the valley, the castles on the coast and Savoca Castel's Ruins. Afterwards you will move on to Santa Lucia church, which was also a Godfather shooting location. Finally, you will head to the best wine shop in Savoca for a tasting of Sicilian products such as olive oil, almond wine, limoncello, and pistachio cream. At the conclusion of your tour, you will be returned to your nearby accommodation.

Nota bene: A MOST BEAUTIFUL DAY IN LIFE in Savoca, the city with 7 faces A very interesting tour in a very nice environment with great views and overviews. Entertaining led by a very fine person, the professional and wonderful Salvo. WONDERFUL DISCOVERY !!!

I booked this activity with the aim of spending a day between nature and culture, but above all without stress. I couldn't have made a better choice! As soon as Salvo shows up at the meeting place, you already have the impression that this day will remain engraved for a long time in your heart: his friendliness makes you think that an old friend has come to pick you up and immediately tells you about his life, his projects, he talks to you about his donkeys, how he breeds and cares for them, makes you curious about the values and culture of the territory ... then you get on the saddle and the world slows down, almost stops and so you can experience nature in the first part of street, where Salvo explains the meaning of plants and flowers and you can discover the beauty of Savoca in the second part, always accompanied by an explanation made up of anecdotes and curiosities, which make what you are looking at alive!
