This program gives you the opportunity to discover the underwater world by diving in the Professor Luiz Saldanha Marine Park. Whilst there you'll enjoy the most extensive biodiversity in Europe, without having to commit to a more extensive certification program. The program is internationally recognized by SSI (Scuba Schools International) and Wild Sea Europe, and begins with a security and communication briefing which will prepare you to breathe underwater. Following that you will board your boat to travel to one of the historical spots within the Marine Park. Throughout your activity your guides encourage you to locate underwater plastic so that they can collect it. This way you will be contributing with a positive environmental impact. At the conclusion of your experience, you will receive free access to a marine ecology e-learning service called "SSI Blue Oceans".

We'll do scuba diving. This is an experience in which you'll be able to breathe for the first time underwater. We always give a briefing that explains what to do, what to expect, how does the equipment work and what we'll see during the experience. Usually we are able to see shipwrecks, corals, unique fishes of the area and much more. In the boat trip you'll also be able to experience the uniqueness of Arrabida. A lot of fun is also included on our activities together with certified trainers and a resourceful team to create the best experiences possible for the clients.

Visit the dolphins in the wild and the secluded bays of the Arrábida Mountains on this complete experience. Depart from Sesimbra harbor, where a briefing will be held regarding the behavior of the dolphins and what to do when they are spotted and learn the safety rules at sea. Depart towards the Arrabida Marine Park, a maritime reserve where the dolphins swim freely in large numbers all year long. Spot the dolphins and follow them during the period allowed by the maritime park code of conduct for the dolphin watch. The species that exist in the maritime park area: bottlenose dolphins and Atlantic dolphins (100% sightings since 2013) and more rarely orca and pilot whales can be seen. After the dolphin watch, visit the bays and stop for a taste of local Moscato and snorkeling or stand-up paddle in one of the amazing bays of the Arrábida.

After a brief initial training, you will take a boat trip to the diving area, accompanied by a certified instructor. It will be your first step in this new underwater world. Be aware, because there is a possibility of seeing dolphins during the trip, you will be able to discover the inhabitants of our amazing underwater world, for sure you will not forget the encounter with a sassy octopus, pipefish and many others! Also during the experience, we will offer a traditional sweet from Sesimbra for tasting. Afterward, you can enjoy a hot shower in our facilities. Enjoy the ocean in all its splendor. Discover the great biological diversity of the Luiz Saldanha Marine Park with a guided snorkeling activity. Explore the underwater world with professional instructors and receive an SSI snorkeling certification after your experience. Enjoy an activity suitable for families or groups of friends. Learn to snorkel in calm waters, and enjoy a safe and fun introduction to snorkeling in a beautiful natural environment. Includes the theory and facts needed to dive safely, finishing with exercises and basic snorkeling skills to help you move effortlessly through the water.

Get the perfect introduction to diving with the SSI Basic Diver program which has been designed to offer you a taste of scuba diving. Discover the underwater world within the protected area of the Professor Luiz Saldanha Marine Park, enjoying the most extensive biodiversity in Europe, before starting your official certification program. The program is internationally recognised by SSI (Scuba Schools International) and Wild Sea Europe. Start your program with a theoretical session, including a security briefing and environmental awareness session. Then, enjoy 2 scuba diving sessions: 1 adaptation dive in confined waters, with some exercises to improve your water comfort level, and 1 exploration dive within the protected area of the Professor Luis Saldanha Marine Park in order to truly experience scuba diving. After your program, receive a free e-course on Marine Ecology, in addition to your SSI Basic Diver certification. This certification allows you to dive under the direct supervision of an SSI Open Water Instructor to depths shallower than 12 meters, for a period of 6 months after the certification is obtained. In the same period, you may upgrade this certification to a SSI Open Water Diver (certified diver).

Improve your basic open water scuba training with a series of 5 diving adventures. Complete the dives to earn the SSI Advanced Adventurer and SSI Marine Ecology certifications. Explore the stunning underwater landscape of the Professor Luiz Saldanha Marine Park (part of Arrabida Natural Park). Gain more experience with deep diving, wreck diving, navigation, using enriched air (nitrox), maintaining perfect buoyancy, and search and recovery. Also pick up important ecological skills, including safe techniques for collection and cleaning of ghost nets and fishing traps.  Should you decide to specialize in any of the areas covered by the different dives in the future, you can use this course towards that accreditation.
