3. Explore Cape Espichel & Meco Beach, South Lisbon

Start your day by being picked up from your accommodation in Lisbon. You will spend a full day exploring the region located to the south of Lisbon and stray from the beaten path in the company of a knowledgeable guide. You will start by crossing the impressive bridge with stunning views of the Tagus River and of Lisbon. Next, visit the monument of Christ-the-king, where you can enjoy an unparalleled view of the city of Lisbon, the Tagus River, and the Atlantic Ocean.  After this visit, continue further south, until you reach Espichel Cape, where you will enjoy a view over the Atlantic Ocean and the coastline of the area. In Cape Espichel lies a beacon, the Lighthouse of Cape Espichel. You'll have the opportunity to see and visit the Shrine of Our Lady of Cape Espichel, also known as the Shrine of Our Lady of Mua Stone. Marvel at dinosaur footprints in Cape Espichel – these are visible on the rocks, and your guide will help you locate them.  Then it will be time to head to the beautiful Meco Beach to have lunch by the sea, a great opportunity to try the local cuisine and wines. Please note that the lunch is not included in the tour price. After lunch, you can enjoy Meco beach. At the end of your day, you will be returned back to your accommodation in Lisbon.
